Assassins Creed Odyssey will receive a new patch for its visual customization feature. This patch will bring Transmog to the Loot system. The new feature will go live today.
Transmog will bring a new look to your gear and allow players to customize the look for any item. Meaning, you can adjust the visual appearance for any armor or weapon.
This customization will not affect your original statistics of the game and only allows the visual appearance of your gear and weapon to change.
As there are no assassins in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey you will probably be customizing a Gladiator type look. You can also play as the famous 300 movie hero ‘Leonidas’ in Assassins Creed Odyssey after the update.
Also note, this new feature doesn’t get rid of your previous customization settings. The appearance of your gear items or weapons collected earlier will be available as selectable, whether you own the item or not.
Ubisoft FAQ’s says “All models are available, no matter your level or the level of the item. However, some models have additional variations that you unlock as your level increases. You need to have the item unlocked to see what variations are available.”
Now you are asking yourself what limitations there are to this new feature added to the loot system. Well, the good news is there are almost none. Well, the only limitation is that you have to choose visuals from the same item category. So, you can not apply a spear visual to a sword.
You will have the ability to select visuals from any level of rarity. Meaning, you can apply customization from any item, this doesn’t limit to how rare an item is.
Not to mention that you can also choose visual styles from Premium items. But, you will need to buy those beforehand.
Assassins Creed Odyssey patch 1.07 will hit PC, Xbox One and PS4 later today.
