Official THQ Nordic Website Lists Sunset Overdrive PC

Update: It looks like THQ Nordic has removed the listing from its official website but the URL is there. You can take a look at the URL as it mentions Sunset Overdrive. Microsoft may have asked THQ Nordic to remove the listing until an official announcement at XO18.

Original Story: Sunset Overdrive PC is one of the worst kept secrets for sure. The game is now listed on the official THQ Nordic website which means the company is going to partner with Insomniac Games for distribution. THQ listed Overwatch PC on its official website so at this point we can expect an announcement any day.

However, the most likely announcements platform is Microsoft’s XO18 event. The game will take place this weekend in Mexico where Microsoft will show many games. Crackdown 3, The Division 2, and more are scheduled to appear.

Sunset Overdrive was listed on SteamDB earlier while its ESRB rating was leaked as well. The rating revealed what we already know, we will be able to use creative weapons and there isn’t much violence in the game. Of course, it is the same game that we had on Xbox One a couple of years ago. The following is the full ESRB rating for Sunset Overdrive PC.

This is a third-person shooter in which players assume the role of a young survivor battling through a mutant apocalypse. As players traverse the open-world of Sunset City, they use assault rifles and fantastical weapons (e.g., grenade launchers that shoot teddy-bear bombs, guns that shoot fireworks) to kill mutant creatures, robots, and occasional human enemies. Combat is highlighted by frequent explosions, screams of pain, and gunfire. Some explosives cause enemies to be dismembered, leaving limbs around the environment; one cutscene briefly depicts a character’s head cut off by a mutant.

Sunset Overdrive will release on Windows 10 through the Windows Store. However, since the game was listed on SteamDB as well we can expect to see a Steam version as well. Hopefully, the game will be announced soon because of its 80 achievements look really enticing.

As for XO18, the event looks really good, especially considering The Division 2 will be playable at the event. It will be the first time Xbox fans would have access to the game. Moreover, we are hearing that Crackdown 3 is getting a new title Crackdown 3: New Providence. The game has been in development for a long time and will release in early next year.
