Backward compatibility has been a huge success for Xbox One so the feature is expected to appear on Xbox Scarlett as well. According to rumors, Microsoft will reveal its new gaming console next year while minor tidbits are expected by the end of the year. Same is the story with PS5 that is expected to be shown next year at E3 2019.

Backward compatibility is integrated within PS5 as revealed by a recent patent filing.
