Capcom has milked Resident Evil series to death multiple times but the company isn’t letting go. Instead of creating new experiences, the company keeps making remakes, reboots and remasters for multiple platforms, multiple times, year after year. Now, the company has announced its plans to release older Resident Evil games on Nintendo Switch.
Yes, while that is really exciting news for Nintendo Switch fans, it still doesn’t excuse the fact that Capcom is milking it.
Resident Evil, Resident Evil 0, and Resident Evil 4 will be the first one to release on Nintendo Switch in 2019. It won’t be surprising to see even more games hitting the platform in the coming year.
The most likely candidate is Resident Evil 2 Remake. The game is currently under development for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. If the Tweet is any indication, we may see the remake announced for Resident Evil 2 remake.
Speaking of Resident Evil 2 remake, Capcom has announced the steelbook edition of the game for Europe. The company has no plans to release this edition in North America which is sure to disappoint many of the company’s fans.
Europe is getting the version that comes bundled with Clair’s Elza DLC and outfit.
