The Elder Scrolls 6 May Be Exclusive to PS5 and Xbox Scarlett

Following the massive announcement at E3 regarding the highly anticipated next title to the Elder Scrolls franchise. A lot of fans wondered just when exactly would they get the opportunity to finally play the game. Sadly, however, Bethesda has made it blatant that The Elder Scrolls 6 doesn’t intend to release anytime soon. And that in fact by the time it does finally release, it’ll be at the time of the next generation consoles

Now while this is sad, it’s also a good thing. The silver lining to this update is that this means the developers plan to take time with the creation of this game. And that they would rather release a full, complete package on the next-gen consoles rather than rushing to produce it while we already have Skyrim and Online for the current generation.

Todd Howard recently released Fallout 4 and the multiplayer variant of the series, Fallout 76. The E3 teaser for The Elder Scrolls 6 is simply just a landscape shot with the familiar musical score and the title banner. No insight into the setting, story, gameplay or any other plans has been given. Just that the developers are ambitious and they want VI to provide an even bigger experience than its predecessors.

It’s difficult to not take Bethesda’s word for a large scale Elder Scrolls game. Considering how Skyrim is now almost a decade old, yet is still fun to play and often picked up either by old gamers for a nostalgia trip, or new ones wanting to experience a masterpiece. The single player game has proven to have aged very well and even managed to continue growing with its multiple ports onto the current generations of consoles, including the PS4, Xbox One, and even the Nintendo Switch.

Seeing as how Fallout 76 is nigh upon us, its safe to say Bethesda will remain busy for a while with that endeavor. Since multiplayer games do need a close monitoring and maintenance. Perhaps it may be another couple of years until gamers around the world get to experience the release of the Elder Scrolls 6, and hopefully, Bethesda also continues to keep us updated on the matter.
