Red Dead Redemption 2 Companion App Features In-Game Map and Real-Time Stats

Rockstar has announced a Red Dead Redemption 2 companion app to allow access to the in-game map in an easier way. This Red Dead Redemption 2 companion app will be available on both Android and iOS devices starting this Friday, 26 October.

The main purpose of this companion app is to be used as a secondary map screen.  You can zoom in or out, set waypoints to your favorite locations or more in real-time. This app will help you in exploring the in-game world. It will also display Arthur Morgan’s in-game information and stats while you play on PS4 or Xbox One.

Rockstar announced the app by saying:

The Red Dead Redemption 2 Companion App connects directly with your PlayStation 4 or Xbox One as you play, delivering real-time interactive information to your smart device. Available for download on October 26th on both iOS and Android, you can pan and zoom the map, set waypoints or mark areas of interest with a tap on your screen, aiding your exploration and discovery throughout the expansive world of Red Dead Redemption 2.

Furthermore, Rockstar mentioned that you can choose to completely remove your in-game HUD as the companion app will give you all of the required information. This app also consists of Arthur’s in-game Journal. Tracks your stats through Rockstar social club and it also contains the full rdr2 in-game manual to help you out.

There’s also a digital version of the guide available from Piggyback to help you out.

This companion app seems to be filled with content and something which would really come in use. Previously we saw Bethesda doing something similar to Fallout 4.

We will let you know more about the app when it becomes available on 26, October. The companion app will most likely go live before the official launch of the game.

RDR 2 is finally available for pre-load and you shouldn’t be wasting any time because it’s massive in size. You will need least 105 GB to download it on your PlayStation 4 system.

It’s without a doubt the biggest game ever by Rockstar. It’s also going to come with 2 discs and you will need both of them to install the game.
