The weekly Famitsu has revealed that Yakuza 4 PS4 will arrive in January of 2019 along with a change of cast for Masayoshi Tanimura. Sega announced that the game will arrive on January 17, 2019, in Japan.
The main character of the game, Masayoshi Tanimura will see some changes. The previous voice actor and face model “Hiroki Narimiya” has retired from the entertainment business.
Some of the lines in the game had to be re-recorded so in order to do that they have acquired the talented Toshiki Masuda for the remaster on PS4. Some people might be used to the previous voice actor but we hope that Toshiki is able to pull this off successfully.
Toshiki Masuda is the new character model so he’s going to appear different in Yakuza 4 PS4.
Yakuza 4 was originally released on PS3 and is one of the games that are scheduled to be remastered for PlayStation 4.
Yakuza 0, 1, 2, and Yakuza 6 are already available on PS4 and with these remasters, all Yakuza games will be available to play on PlayStation 4.
These remaster of Yakuza games come with higher resolution and stable frame rates unlike Kiwami 1 and 2 who happened to be only remakes of Yakuza 1 and 2.
In other news, Sega Sammy CEO Haruki Satomi has revealed through an interview that the Yakuza Studio is working on an unannounced title. It’s most likely to be a sequel of Yakuza 0 as Haruki has shown interest in it in the past.
We have other great news for the fans of Yakuza series. Sony revealed earlier this month that the free PlayStation games for November will include Yakuza Kiwami.
Yakuza Kiwami is a remake of the original released back in 2016. Kazuma Kiryu is taking the lead and if you are a fan of him then you shouldn’t miss this one.
We saw Kazuma Kiryu last time in Yakuza 6 which was also a great game and it made us all very emotional towards the end.
