Ushiro was originally announced for the PSP back in 2008 but it was canceled and now we have got word that the game is now being resurrected for the Nintendo Switch. This information has been brought to our attention by Famitsu. The magazine conducted an interview with the CEO of Level-5 Akihiro Hino in celebration of 20th anniversary of the company.
The feature mentions that Ushiro might be coming back, but for the Nintendo Switch. Ushiro is a turned based strategy game that is set in modern Japan. The game has a very interesting aesthetic to it and if you are a fan of Japanese turn-based games then you can check it out.
An important thing to keep in mind here is that this is the version that we originally saw. We do not know if this is the same game that will come to the Nintendo Switch. Level-5 could have incorporated some changes.
This is the first time that we are hearing about Ushiro since it was canceled on the PSP. Having that said, I am sure that we are going to learn plenty of stuff about the game in the upcoming days. Level-5 is working no bringing future titles to the Nintendo Switch and the following is what the company had to say in this regard:
Basically, in the future, our main titles will all be released on Nintendo Switch. The idea is that what we have created for 3DS will move over to Switch.
Level-5 is responsible for a couple of cool games and it will be interesting to see how fans react to these games when they come out on the Nintendo Switch. I am sure that people will appreciate the effort.
Let us know what you think about Ushiro and whether or not you are interested in playing the game on the Nintendo Switch.
