It’s being reported that Red Dead Redemption 2 Xbox One X will get an additional 4K texture pack. The game is already going to run at native 4K so it’s definitely a possibility to play with different textures. Obviously, this additional textures will work on supported display devices.
We don’t know any further about it yet but once it arrives, we will be able to enable it through the Xbox One X settings. This now also means that you will need to download additional data so don’t be surprised if it’s also big.
This information comes up when you hold RB+LB with start and select buttons.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is just a few days away and pre-load of the game has already started. You will need at least 105 GB on PlayStation 4 and 85 Gb on Xbox One to install the game.
Now, this massive file size shouldn’t surprise you as it’s the biggest game Rockstar has ever made. It consists of the biggest map also ever in a Rockstar game. It all now seems to be true. EDGE has also confirmed that the RDR 2 map is really, really big. They had the opportunity to try out the game early and they were stunned when they had to scroll to reach the end of the map.
During the same session, art director of Rockstar talked about the in-game dynamic experiences. He said that there’s always something going on around you. The in-game world is massive and it’s full of activities, side missions and a lot more fun which we yet don’t know about.
Surprisingly, the physical version of the game also comes with two discs. One to install the game and another one to install and to also play it.
New RDR 2 gameplay has also been leaked. It gives us a glimpse of what the game is going to offer us. The leak shows Arthur in action while using slow-mo. New weapon wheel design is also shown. Some leaked images of the in-game map have also appeared but we don’t recommend it if you hate spoilers.
Red Dead Redemption 2 will release on October 26 for PS4 and Xbox One.
