The OC Scanner is the overclocking utility tool that you can use to overclock your Nvidia graphics card. While automatic overclocking is not something that enthusiasts use, it comes in handy to people that are new to this. The OC Scanner is pretty accurate and was able to take the MSI RTX 2080 Ti Gaming X Trio to almost the max possible overclock. Which is very impressive indeed.
OC Scanner VS Manual OC
Using the OC Scanner users were able to get the MSI RTX 2080 Ti Gaming X Trio to 2055 MHz and this resulted in a 3DMark Fire Strike Extreme score of 16,911 points. Furthermore, manually overclocking the same graphics card gave it an extra boost in overclock and hence in performance.
The same user claims to have got a manual overclock of 2135 MHz and that translated to a 3DMark Fire Strike Extreme score of 17,135 points. Another user reported that he was able to score 17,255 points in the same benchmark with the same card and you can check out the benchmark below:
Not only is the OC Scanner able to get a significant overclock on these graphics cards. It is very impressive to note that the card remains under 70C. Which is very impressive indeed. We have also had a test where the EVGA RTX 2080 Ti was able to run Doom at 5K at 75 FPS.
You can check out the details of that benchmark but long story short, it remained under 81C which is very impressive keeping in mind the higher resolution and the performance of the card. For more information regarding the Nvidia RTX graphics cards, stay tuned.
