Red Dead Redemption 2 Preload To Start A Week Early, Launch Trailer Coming Today

Rockstar Games has announced that it will be rolling out Red Dead Redemption 2 launch trailer today. Not only that, gamers will be able to start Red Dead Redemption 2 preload a week earlier.

Rockstar Games took it to Twitter to announce that gamers will be able to start the Red Dead Redemption 2 preload this Friday on October 19. This is exactly a week before the game launches.

Rockstar didn’t specify the reason behind the Red Dead Redemption 2 preload. But, the game’s massive install size might be the reason for early pre-load. Players will be able to start the Red Dead Redemption 2 preload on Friday at 12 AM ET.

Also, those wondering when the Red Dead Redemption 2 reviews will start dropping. The review embargo for the game will lift on October 25.

Its a trend of sorts in the game industry to have a star-studded cast. Games like Call of Duty, Star Citizen, and more feature Hollywood actors and their voice talents.

However, that is not the case with Red Dead Redemption 2 and there is a reason for it. According to Dan Houser, Rockstar avoids celebrities due to the egoistic nature of some of them.

He added that working with celebrities can cause problems with the development. Besides, real-voice actors are essential for true immersion.

Also, Rockstar is under fire for admitting to several 100-hour work weeks. Gamers and developers took it to Twitter to criticize the studio for its treatment with employees.

However, Rockstar Games has tried to clarify the situation. The studio noted that it doesn’t force anyone to do overtime and its the choice of their employees if they want to do it.

I’m just not one of them! No one, senior or junior, is ever forced to work hard. I believe we go to great lengths to run a business that cares about its people, and to make the company a great place for them to work.

But, according to an ex-Rockstar employee, that is not the case at all. He revealed that working at Rockstar Games felt like having a gun to his head. He added that he was working 7-days a week during GTA IV’s development.

It’s been nearly a decade since I parted from Rockstar, but I can assure you that during the GTA IV era, it was like working with a gun to your head 7 days a week.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is an open-world action game developed by Rockstar Games. The game will launch on October 26, 2018, for PS4 and Xbox One.
