Bandai Namco has been busy and according to them it’s their top priority to keep everything about it a secret but the internet is a place to reveal these secret so here we are.
Skull Kid
Starting with the Skull Kid who’s a villain from Majora’s Mask has been a part of many leaks. The most recent leak comes from Sakurai’s set in the latest Smash Bros Ultimate direct. His chairs and theme at the back of his set seemed to be hinting at the Skull Kid. Sakurai is previously known for hinting at new characters so it’s quite a possibility.
Incineroar
It has been seen in the past that the previous Smash Bros Ultimate games tend to include a new Pokemon character from a new generation. There have been several rumors about Decidueye and the recent leak shows us that ” Incineroar” will be coming our way in December.
Golden Sun Isaac
Isaac is also rumored to be a part of the roster. Nintendo has also filed for a new trademark of the Golden Sun hinting us that they are going to revive him maybe very soon. He’s also seen on top in various polls which makes him one of the characters fans want to see in the game. Nintendo will surely don’t want to disappoint anyone. Also, another Tweet of the game has suggested the possible battle scene of Golden Sun Isaac.
Street Fighter Ken
Rumors about Street Fighter have been coming from a very famous leaker known as “Vergeben”. According to him, Ken will be presented in the game as a Ryu Echo fighter. The game is said to include 36 different Street Fighter tracks so seeing Ken in the game is very expected.
Minecraft Steve
Coming from Vergeben and Senjougahara, Minecraft Steve is also rumored to be included in the game according to sources. According to them, Minecraft might also get its own stage or an assist trophy.
Dixie Kong
Dixie Kong from Super Smash Bros 4 is also expected to return after receiving costume changes. Dixie Kong is another one of the most popular characters in the fan polls. Also, even Sakurai wants him so there’s quite a possibility for him to be in the game.
Sora The Kingdom Hearts
Sora might be a lot busy as he’s getting his own game very soon but he’s often demanded by the fans to be included in Smash Bros Ultimate. Co-creator of the game has also expressed in bringing him over to Smash Bros so there are a lot of chances for it to happen. Latest rumors tell us that a Square Enix fighter will be making its way to the roster so we can’t think of anyone else than Sora.
Bandana Dee
Bandana Dee is a creation of Sakurai and one of the most wanted players by the fans. So it’s going to be very easy for Sakurai to put him in the game to please all the fans.
Banjo Kazooie
Banjo Kozaooie is back in the news once again as it’s rumored to get a new game on Xbox One. But that’s not all, as its characters are also expected to make an appearance in Super Smash Bros. Microsoft has shown that they are willing to let Banjo and Kazooie appear in the upcoming game on Switch.
Geno
Another character to top in the fan polls. After missing Super Smash 4, it seems like his return is imminent in Super Smash Bros Ultimate. Mii Gunner costume was used to represent Geno in Smash 4 and it’s been time since we saw him last.
Square Enix Character
As we said before, a Square Enix character is expected to come in the game and everyone is guessing it to be Sora. This leak also comes from Vergeben so we will have to wait. Sora is not alone as there are various characters from Square Enix games that might be the one. A Final Fantasy character maybe as some Final Fantasy games have already been released on Switch.
Funky Kong
A leak from 4chan suggested many characters of the roster and most of them turned out to be true. The list also included Funky Kong which seems like a Donkey Kong Echo fighter. Obviously, he’s not confirmed yet but maybe he’s a post-launch character.
Rayman/Rabbids Ubisoft
Rayman is another of these correct leaks. Keeping the good ongoing relationship of Ubisoft and Nintendo in mind, it’s expected that Nintendo will bring Rayman or at least one of the Rabbids to the game.
Chorus Kids or Karate Joe
Another data-miner has found that a Rhythm Heaven character was planned for Super Smash Bros 4 but it didn’t happen. Which now brings us the possibility that he might finally come to the series with Smash Bors Ultimate. Chorus kids are the most speculated to return as well as Karate Joe.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Costume Leaks
There have been many costume leaks as well. A new appearance of Pikachu makes him look like Rey-Mysterio from WWE. It shows us two different variations of Super Mario form Odyssey and Mario Maker. Ridley looks more aggressive in the new costume.
Other costumes for characters include Bayonetta, Link, Inking, Fire Emblem characters, Wii Fit trainer and more.
These are all the rumors and leaks that we currently know about. Do take this all with a grain of salt as nothing is officially confirmed. Though many of the above characters do have possibilities to make an appearance in the game. To find it out we will have to play the game when it finally launches.
