Recently, some PS4 users started to receive spam messages that are bricking the PlayStation 4. Sony has fixed this spam messages issue. Not only that, Sony has revealed a bricked PS4 fix.
According to Sony, these spam messages weren’t bricking consoles but, were sending them in a crash loop. The bricked PS4 fix is quite simple.
Here is how the bricked PS4 fix works. Just delete the message using the PS mobile app. Now, start the PS4 in safe mode and select the “Option 5” and the console will come out of the crash loop. Also, make sure to have a USB cable with you, as you will need it while using the safe mode.
But, some users have notified that the fix isn’t working for them. According to users, their PS4 won’t even go into safe mode. Users are saying that Sony is brushing off the issue.
Speaking of the PlayStation 4, the console is almost at the end of its cycle. However, a report suggests that Sony has one more PS4 exclusive to announce before PlayStation 5.
This means that there is another PS4 game in the works other than already announced Death Stranding, The Last of Us 2 and Ghost of Tsushima. Furthermore, this unannounced PS4 exclusive will be a proper first-party title instead of a PSVR game.
While we are waiting for PlayStation 5, Sony has already started working on it. According to Sony president and CEO Kenichiro Yoshida, the company has plans for PS5. He also admitted that working on a PlayStation 5 has become “necessary”.
It is unclear if the next-gen console will prioritize 4K gaming or not. But, given that PS4 Pro and Xbox One X already target it, it is likely. However, not everyone thinks that 4K/60 FPS should be a standard for PS5 and Xbox Scarlet.
4K or not, it seems that Xbox Scarlet will feature GDDR6 along with a new type of DRAM. A recent job listing suggests that Microsoft is considering a new type of DRAM and GDDR6 memory.
