AMD RX 580 Graphics Cards With 2048 SPs Released, Same As The RX 570

A new RX 580 has appeared online and from what we can see it has similar specs as the AMD RX 570. The internet is dubbing this the AMD RX 580 2048 SP because it comes with 2048 SPs out of the box. This is the same number of SPs that you get with the RX 570 as well.

Other specifications of this RX 580 match that of the 570 as well. Both graphics cards feature 32 CUs, 128 texture units and 32 raster units, and 5.7 billion transistors. Both graphics cards have a base clock of 1168 MHz. The only difference is the boost clock.

It is interesting to see that companies like Sapphire are already rolling out the AMD RX 580 2048 SP and it is even more interesting to see that these graphics cards are actually cheaper than the AMD RX 570.

The RX 570 is already pretty good value for money. It is much better than the GTX 1050 Ti and compares well with the GTX 1060 3 GB model. If you are in the market for a new graphics card and you can get hold of the AMD RX 580 2048 SP then this is a great option worth considering.

Keeping in mind that we are getting this graphics card at this time, there is a chance that AMD does not plan on releasing any new graphics cards this year. It is also possible that AMD is going to release the AMD RX 580 2048 SP for the Chinese and Korean markets and that this specific version will not be available in other markets.

This is not the first time that AMD would pull off something like this we have seen mining specific cards as well as region-specific cards that are not available in other parts of the world. We will keep you updated regarding the AMD RX 580 2048 SP. For more information regarding the graphics card, stay tuned.
