Darksiders 3 will have a big story to tell when that game comes out in November, so big in fact that apparently two different Darksiders 3 DLC packs will be coming out at some point after the game’s launch, allowing players to go on other adventures once Fury’s completed her main mission.
While there was no downloadable content in the first Darksiders game, Darksiders 2 gave players multiple areas to go through over the course of the story, such as the realm of the dead, the homeworld of the Makers, and more. With all of these new worlds came DLC, such as Argul’s Tomb, Demon Lord Belial, and The Abyssal Forge packs.
While the Darksiders 3 DLC packs apparently won’t be so many, it will still give us a better view of a post-Apocalypse Earth than what we got in the first Darksiders game, where War was in a semi-open world that nevertheless didn’t allow much content outside of the game’s story.
While Darksiders 3’s own story seems to be fairly similar to the original Darksiders (it focuses around Fury having to travel to Earth to hunt down and kill the Seven Deadly Sins, who have escaped from their prisons), hopefully THQ Nordic and Gunmetal Games have managed to make it not only a bigger game, but one that’s also longer and grander in scope.
The two Darksiders 3 DLC packs do have names and general descriptions, but no fine details. We do know that they’re called The Crucible and Keepers of the Void. In the first, players will take Fury into a challenge arena where she can fight off waves of enemies in return for items and rewards. Keepers of the Void will take Fury to massive tunnels beneath the earth to kill an ancient threat, in return for a powerful artifact, the Abyssal Armor.
You’ll be able to get both DLCs sometime after the actual game releases on November 27 for the Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC.
