Assassin’s Creed Odyssey was unplayable for some users due to the lack of support for non-AVX CPUs. Ubisoft promised to fix this problem and with the latest patch, the studio has brought the Assassin’s Creed Odyssey AVX fix.
Ubisoft has rolled out out update 1.03 for its latest title that brings the Assassin’s Creed Odyssey AVX fix. While it is not confirmed but, speculation is that Denuvo DRM was the cause of this problem.
Along with Assassin’s Creed Odyssey AVX fix, patch 1.03 also brings other fixes to the game. These fixes include the fix for the Benchmark tool which is now recordable on Windows 7. Not only that, benchmark issues with the rainy weather is also addressed in patch 1.03.
The AVX issues with the game caused problems for a lot of gamers as Ubisoft failed to specify it in the system requirements. However, Ubisoft has brought Assassin’s Creed Odyssey AVX fix. Meaning, non-AVX CPU owners are now able to play the game.
Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is not the only Assassin’s Creed game we are getting on the PS4 and Xbox One. Ubisoft has announced the Assassin’s Creed 3 Remaster as part of the game’s season pass.
If we believe Ubisoft, then the remaster will be much more than just a resolution upgrade. According to Ubisoft, remaster will feature improved lighting, Physically Based Rendering, to be exact.
That is not all, the game will feature high-resolution textures, improved game mechanics and more.
Assassin’s Creed 3 wasn’t particularly a hit among fans due to numerous bugs and the lackluster protagonist. We won’t be getting a charming and exciting protagonist for the game. At Least, Ubisoft will fix those bugs and improve visuals.
Assassin’s Creed Odyssey has taken the franchise further into the action-RPG territory. This one of the reason the game faced criticism before launch.
But, all of this changed following the game’s critical success. Not only that, the game is the best-selling in the franchise this console generation.
Meaning Odyssey has surpassed Black Flag, Unity, Syndicate and last year’s AC: Origins in terms of sales. Ancient Greece is probably one of the reasons for the game’s success. While we speculate, Assassin’s Creed Origins has become one of the best games of this generation.
