Netflix’s The Witcher Series Full Cast Revealed, Freya Allen Is Ciri

The Witcher is one of the most popular video games franchises and soon it will be appearing on Netflix as a live action show. Now, Netflix has revealed the full cast for the upcoming Netflix’s The Witcher series.

We already know that Henry Cavil will be playing the Geralt Of Rivia. Now Netflix has revealed the actors taking on the rolls of Yennefer and Ciri. According to Netflix, Yennefer will be played by Anya Chalotra and Ciri will be played by Freya Allen.

No release date has been announced for Netflix’s The Witcher series but, I am excited what Netflix will bring.

Not only that, The Witcher author and creator is also working with Netflix on the upcoming The Witcher series. What is interesting is that soon after the work began on the Netflix’s The Witcher series, the series author, Andrzej Sapkowski, demanded $16 million in royalties from developer CD Projekt Red.

However, CD Projekt Red simply said no to the demand citing Andrzej Sapkowski’s demand “groundless” as the author gave away his right to royalties while signing the contract for Witcher video game rights.

According to the author, the contract with CD Projekt Red only includes the “first in a series of games, and therefore the distribution of all other games, including their expansions, add-ons etc., is, simply speaking, unlawful”.

Not only that, Andrzej Sapkowski also doesn’t have any high regard for the The Witcher games as he cites them the reason for The Wiitcher book market being spoiled. He added that CDPR has spread false belief that the games have made the books popular outside of Poland, but it is the other way around.

Aside from this dispute over royalties, we are also getting a Witcher spin-off Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales.

Thronebreaker is a single player role-playing game set in the world of The Witcher that combines narrative-driven exploration with unique puzzles and card battle mechanics.
