Nvidia regularly rolls out driver updates for its GPUs. These driver updates bring game-specific optimizations, fixes and more. This time around PUBG developer has asked players to not update their Nvidia GPU driver as it is causing problems with the game.
PUBG Corp took to their official Twitter account and warned players to not update to the Nvidia GPU driver launched on October 4. According to the devs, the driver update is causing incorrect shadows to display in-game.
To be specific, PUBG Corp has warned to not update to Nvidia driver version 416.16. In the meantime, PUBG Corp is working with Nvidia to fix the problem. So if you are one of those who is still playing PUBG then you might want to wait a while.
PC Players: On live servers, shadows display incorrectly with the NVIDIA GPU drivers released on October 4. We recommend players not update to the latest drivers until this issue is resolved.

Aside from the drivers, Nvidia’s newly released RTX 2080 and 2080 Ti are facing problems. Users are reporting that their Nvidia RTX GPUs aren’t working properly. Some are facing fan issues while some are facing display problems.
This issue could be the result of a faulty Nvidia driver but, until Nvidia confirms it we can only speculate.

According to the tests, Nvidia RTX 2080 Ti Founders Edition managed to reach 49 MH / s clock speed while consuming 260 W of power.
The RTX 2080 Founders Edition managed to reach 36 MH / s clock speed. Compared to Radeon RX Vega 64, the RTX 2080 Ti has achieved some impressive numbers.
As for the PUBG, the game saw a consistent decline in its player base since February 2018. However, The game is back on top of the Steam charts with over 800K players.
Despite that, the game is constantly losing its player base every month. Also, with the release of Black Ops 4, we might see a further decline the player base.
Even the biggest streamers on the internet are ditching the game in favor of other battle royale titles. This is partly due to lack of any optimization, persistent bugs, lack of any effort to fix them, focus on aesthetics rather on mechanics, to name just a few.
