Black Ops 4 is only a few days away and finally, Treyarch has revealed the original game size along with pre-load timings.
Luckily, the game is not going to take 100 GB of space as revealed before on the disc. Treyarch has now managed to reduce it and has now packed the whole game in a total of 55 GB.
55 Gb is the total data required for you to download including all new updates on day one of the game.
Treyarch revealed this on Reddit by saying:
We’re happy to report that we have made a ton of improvements to optimize the Day 1 experience – the game download will be approximately 55 GB, and it will allow us to pack as much as we can into the game. A full list of details can be found here, and we’re happy to report that Blackout is fully playable once the download reaches about 30% completion (about 16-20 GB depending on platform). (A full download will be required to play Multiplayer, Zombies, and Specialist Headquarters).
Game Pre-load Info: You’ve been asking when you can start pre-loading the game, and we’re here to help. Pre-loading on consoles will start at 12AM on October 10th in your local time, so if you’re up late tomorrow night, get ready to start that pre-load before bed. For PC users, pre-loading will begin worldwide at 9PM Pacific on Tuesday, October 9th.
Other than that, Treyarch is also going have a special beta post-mortem video broadcast. The team will discuss major changes made to the game in response to Beta feedback. They will be going into details.
Treyarch also plans to participate in some special launch-timed live streams so stay tuned.
We don’t think so that there will be any questions left from the fans as Treyarch has made everything pretty clear now. It’s good to see that the game size is reduced and we can start playing Blackout while the full game downloads at the back.
In other good news, if you pre-ordered a physical copy of Black Ops 4 then you will be able to grab it earlier before October 12. Some retailers are allowing customers to pick up the game on October 11.
Black Ops 4 will launch on October 12 for Xbox One, PC and PS4.
