Intel i9 9900K “Is The Best Gaming Processor In The World.”

The Intel i9 9900K has officially been announced and right off the bat Intel claimed that the CPU is the best gaming processor in the world.  The CPU will come with 8 cores and 16 threads. The CPU delivers 5 GHz out of the box. The CPU features soldered TIM and give users overclocking headroom.

Intel showed off what the Intel i9 9900K has to offer and in demos, we saw the CPU run PUBG and World of Tanks. The CPU was able to run and stream both games all by itself. That is pretty impressive. Intel also gave another example of the performance of the CPU. Intel showed Rainbow Six Siege running at high resolution but we do not know the details.

Intel mentioned that core i9 systems will be available from OEMs like HP, Alienware and Dell, amongst others.  The new CPUs will be supported by the new Z390 motherboards and will come with features like Integrated USB 3.1 gen 2 and Integrated Intel Wireless-AC. The platform will also offer 40 PCIe lanes (16 CPU + 24 PCH).

We got a leaked pre-order listing for the Intel i9 9900K which was a little more than $500 but it seems that was not accurate. According to the official announcement, the Intel i9 9900K will cost $488. This is still higher than what the AMD Ryzen 2700X costs but it is lower than what we heard earlier.

The Intel Core i7-9700K also comes with 8 cores and 8 threads but is priced lower than the higher-end Core i9 model. The clock speeds are a bit lower but it costs $374. This pricing is more competitive with the AMD Ryzen 7 series and it will be interesting to see which CPU people are more inclined towards.

We also have the Intel Core i5-9600K that comes with 6 cores and 6 threads and only costs $262. The CPU can boost to 4.3 GHz on all cores. This is a K SKU so you can overclock it as well.

Let us know what you think about the Intel i9 9900K CPU and whether or not you are interested in getting one of these CPUs.
