Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey launch was not as smooth as most would have hoped. People are finding it hard to get into the game due to server issues. It turns out that Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey has been hit with a DDoS attack. At least that is what Ubisoft would have you believe.
Some people are unable to get in the game and the people that are able to connect seem to have issues getting their Helix points. If you play the game and get Helix points and the servers go down then there is a chance that your Helix points won’t be there. Ubisoft mentioned the DDoS attack in a recent tweet and the following is what the company had to say in this regard:
Hello everyone. We’re experiencing a series of DDoS attacks, which may impact latency or connections to our games.
A few hours later the company posted an update claiming that the DDoS attack issue had been resolved but there were still players that complained about not being able to connect to the game and not getting their Helix points. The following is the update posted by Ubisoft:
The DDoS attacks have been resolved, but we’re aware that some users are still experiencing connectivity issues. We appreciate your patience, and will keep you updated on the forum post.
Some people have reported that they are unable to play the game. If that is the case then you can check out guide regarding Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey errors. We will keep you updated regarding the matter so stay tuned for more information. If you are playing the game and have not been able to get to that 60 FPS sweet spot then you can check out our tweaks guide.
Talking about the performance of the game. On consoles, the game runs better on the PS4 Pro but looks better on the Xbox One X. If you want the best visuals on console then you should keep that in mind.
