Forza games have always been the best looking games of their time and Forza Horizon 4 is no exception. While the game is a technical marvel for the Xbox One, the developers have taken the game a step further on the Xbox One X. For those who don’t know, if you decide to play the game on at native 4K on the Xbox One X then the game will be locked at 30 FPS while the 60 FPS mode of the game runs at 1080p resolution.
This Forza Horizon 4 graphics comparison reveals the differences between the two versions. Despite Xbox One X being the more powerful console, thanks to its 6 TFLOPs of GPU compute, the Xbox One version of the game still hold its own.
Aside from being an Xbox One exclusive, Forza Horizon 4 is also available on PC and developer Playground Games has done an incredible job of optimizing it.
According to the game’s benchmarks, Forza Horizon 4 runs at 1440p/60 FPS on GTX 1060 and the RX 580. What is more surprising is that both Nvidia GTX 1060 and Radeon RX 580 manage to get 40 FPS at 4K resolution.
Speaking of the Xbox One X, third-party titles have been struggling to run at native 4K on the Xbox One X as they use the dynamic resolution to maintain the FPS.
However, Microsoft has confirmed that Red Dead Redemption 2 will be native 4K on the Xbox One X.
Also, while we are less than a month away from the game’s launch but gamers are already playing Red Dead Redemption 2. Tweets of a couple of users have popped up online revealing that they are playing Red Dead Redemption 2.
