In Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, you take control of Adrestia, a legendary ship, and sail across the waters of Greece, engaging in naval combat.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Ship Upgrades

All ship upgrades in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey will require Ancient Tablets to upgrade them and that will be our initial aim. Collecting tablets will unlock different customization and upgrade options for your ship.

Ship Customization

Ship Upgrades are important if you want to take part in battles with high-level ships. These ship upgrades include weapons and defensive capabilities of your ship in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey.

Almost every aspect and weapon can be upgraded and each of them has multiple upgrades Tier and the requirements of each upgrade will increase as the Tier Increases. Here we will list all of the ship upgrades along with the materials required to upgrade them.

Arrow Volleys
Tier 1: N/A
Shoots 1 Arrow Volley

Tier 2: 60 SL, 105 OW, 1,090 Drachmae
Reduces arrow reload by 5% and allows shooting 2 successive arrow volleys.

Tier 3: 220 SL, 130 OW, 2 Ancient Tablets, 2,320 Drachmae.
Reduces arrow reload by 10% and shoots 3 successive arrow volleys.

Tier 4: 670 SL, 400 OW, 5 Ancient Tablets, 7,090 Drachmae.
Reload is reduced by 20% and shoots 4 successive arrow volleys.

Javelin Throws
Tier 1: N/A
Shoots 1 Javelin Throw.

Tier 2: 60 SL, 60 IM, 105 OW, 1,090 Drachmae.
Reload is reduced by 5% and fires 2 successive Javelin Throws.

Tier 3: 130 SL, 130 IM, 220 Ow, 2 Ancient Tablets, 2,320 Drachmae.
Reload time is reduced by 10% and fires 3 successive Javelin Throws.

Tier 4: 400 SL, 400 IM, 670 Ow, 5 Ancient Tablets, 7,090 Drachmae.
Reduces reload by 20% and firs 4 successive Javelin Throws.

Fire Braziers
Tier 1: 75 IM, 105 OW, 1 Ancient Tablet, 1,090 Drachmae.
Unlocks fire arrows and fire Javelins. Grants 3 firepower segments.

Tier 2: 90 IM, 130 OW, 2 Ancient Tablets, 1,400 Drachmae.
10 % increase in fire duration and grant 4 firepower segments.

Tier 3: 215 IM, 355 OW, 3 Ancient Tablets, 3,770 Drachmae.
20 % increase in fire duration and grant 5 firepower segments.

Tier 4: 655 IM, 1,090 OW, 9 Ancient Tablets, 11,550 Drachmae.
50 % increase in fire duration and grant 6 firepower segments.

Tier 2: 80 IM, 130 OW, 2 Ancient Tablets, 1,400 Drachmae.
Arrow damage increases by 5% and weak point creation increase by 10%.

Tier 3: 215 IM, 355 OW, 3 Ancient Tablets, 3,770 Drachmae.
Arrow damage increases by 10% and weak point creation increase by 20%.

Tier 4: 655 IM, 1,090 OW, 9 Ancient Tablets, 11,550 Drachmae.
Arrow damage increases by 25% and weak point creation increase by 40%.

Fire and brace damage reduces by 10%.

Tier 3: 1,390 SL, 835 IM, 11 Ancient Tablets, 14,740 Drachmae.
Fire and brace damage reduces by 25%.

Tablets Locations

In order to upgrade a ship in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, several Ancient Tablets are required. For example, on the first level of the ship, each upgrade costs 2 to 4 Ancient Tablets each.

The requirements become more expensive the higher you go. You can find these Ancient Tablets scattered across the map. We have listed all of the locations alongside how much tablets will drop on each location.

Kephallonia – Drops 4 Tablets
You can find the first 4 tablets on the Island of Ithaka, Kephallonia.

Travel to the south of the island, to the Odysseus’ Palace. Climb through the stairs by the orchard, at the entrance. As you climb up, you will notice a Merchant Stall to the left. Approach these merchants and the tablet will be on the counter.

Megaris – 3 Ancient Tablets
The next tablet you will find will be on Megaris. Players will find one at the Pillar of Dionysos, the second at the Ruined Temple of Apollo and the third one at Zeus Ephesus.

Phokis – 4 Ancient Tablets
The first tablet will be at the Tomb of Tityos, the second tablet will be at the Snake Temple, the third tablet will be at the monument to Prometheus and the Birth of Mankind and the last tablet will be at Solitude Tower.

Attika – 2 Ancient Tablets
Players will find the first tablet at the Ruined Sanctuary of Ajax on the Isle of Salamis and the second tablet will be at the Burned Temple of Hera.

Argolis – 4 Ancient Tablets
Players will find the first tablet at the Aisne Ruins, the second tablet at the Club of Herakles, third tablet at the Palace of Hippomedon, and the 4th tablet is located at Agamemnon’s Palace in Mycenae.

Korinthia – 4 Ancient Tablets
Players will find the first tablet in this region at Kephisos Sanctuary Ruins, the second tablet at Ruined Temple of Apollo, the third tablet at Ruined Temple of Zeus and the final tablet is located at the Altar of the Cyclops.

Lakonia – 1 Ancient Tablet
The tablet in this region is located at the Burned Temple of Apollo.

Messara – 2 Ancient Tablets
In the region of Messara players will find the first tablet at the Phaistos Theater and the second tablet at the Lost Minoan Shrine.

Pephka – 1 Ancient Tablet
This location has only one ancient tablet which is located at Zakros.

Achaia – 1 Ancient Tablet
This area has only one tablet which can be found at the Ruins of Helike.

Boeotia – 2 Ancient Tablets
In the region of Boeotia, players will find the first tablet at the Temple of Athena Itonia and the second tablet is located at the Tower of Askre.

Malis – 1 Ancient Tablet
The tablet on this region of the game is located at the Temple of The Golden-Bowed Goddess.

Makedonia – 1 Ancient Tablet
There is just one ancient tablet in this region which is located at the Xerxes’ Sacrifice of The Nine.

Messenia – 1 Ancient Tablet
The tablet is located at the Palace of Aphareus which is north of the Bay of Hades.

Arkadia – 1 Ancient Tablet
Arkadia is one of the biggest regions in the game with only one tablet. You will find the tablet at the Origins of the Karyatids.

Elis- 2 Ancient Tablets
The first tablet can be found at the Dyspontion Ruins and the second tablet can be found at the Spring of Piera.

Chios – 2 Ancient Tablets
The first the players will have to grab is at the Anavatos Ruin and the second tablet is located at the Ruined Temple of Athena Poliouchos.

Lesbos – 4 Ancient Tablets
This island is fairly large and players will find the first tablet at the Ancient Sanctuary of Zeus, the second at Temple Ruins located west of Lover’s Bay, the third tablet is located at the Lost Shrine of Poseidon, and the fourth tablet can be found at the forest of Ancient pearl.

Euboea – 3 Ancient Tablets
Players will find the first table at the Seaside Altar, the second tablet is located at the Apollo Temple and the last tablet can be found at the Altar of Poseidon.

Kythera – 2 Ancient Tablets
The first tablet is located at the Mycenaean Ruins in Skandela Bay while the second tablet can be found at the Diakofti ruins.

Naxos – 1 Ancient Tablet
There is only one tablet on this island which can be found at the Deathbed of Ariadne.

Ship Cosmetics Locations

There are a number of cosmetics that players can acquire in the game including Hull Cosmetics, Ship Figureheads, and Crew Cosmetic. These cosmetics don’t provide any advantages as they only change the appearance.

The Prancing Pegasus
This cosmetic can be found in Hermits Dive which is located in Messara.

The Minotaurs Revenge
The Minotaurs Revenge hull cosmetic is located in an underground cave in Tripple Peninsula of Chalkidike. You will come across the cave while exploring, there will be a hole with a ladder, and the chest will be below.

The Sea Swallow
This Ship cosmetic is acquired by defeating a level 34 ship located in The Peloros. Go there and defeat the ship to grab the cosmetic.

The Hounds of Hades
This Ship Hull Cosmetic is located at the sunken ruins at Pavlopetri. You will have to dive into the water to find this cosmetic.

The Satyr
This Ship Hull Cosmetic is located in the chest at the Phoibean Lagoon in Argolis.

The Phoenician, The Babylonian
There is no need to find these Hull Cosmetics as they can be purchased from the Ubisoft Club.

The Colors of Keos
This Hull Cosmetic is a reward for the “Recruitment Drive” side quest.

The Scarlet Dawn
This Hull Cosmetic can be acquired by defeating a ship. The ship in question is “The Erginos” and can be found southeast of Apollo’s Refuge.

Raging Bull
To acquire this Hull cosmetic, players will have to defeat a level 22 Alpha Light Trireme. This ship can be found to the South of Kephallonia.

Kraken
To get this cosmetic, players need to complete the Recruitment Drive side quest.

Minotaur
This Ship cosmetic can be acquired from the underwater Cavern which is located south of Makedonia.

Black Sails
To get this ship cosmetic, players need to defeat the Alpha ship. The ship is located between North Makedonian and West Thracian Seas.

Hydra
This ship cosmetic can be acquired by defeating the Alpha Ship in the North Aegean Sea.

Faun
This cosmetic can be found at Phoibean Lagoon.

Red Emblem
Defeat the Alpha Ship north of Mirtoan Sea to acquire this ship cosmetic.

Star Emblem
This ship cosmetic can be found in the Shipwreck of Dionysos and the Pirate.

Hydra Emblem
Defeat the Alpha Ship located in the northern part of the West Icarion Sea.

Cerberus
This ship cosmetic will be found at Pavlopetri.

Flower
Defeat the Alpha ship roaming about in the east Thracian Sea.

Axe
To acquire this cosmetic, you need to defeat the Alpha Ship in the west Mirtoan Sea.

Thyphon
Defeat the alpha ship in the north Karpathos Sea to acquire the ship cosmetic.

Medusa
Defeat the Alpha Ship in the east Mediterranean Sea.

Snakes
This ship cosmetic is located at Stormfall Bay which itself is located at northwest of Lesbos.

Cubic
Defeat the Alpha ship which will be roaming about in the Gulf of Makedon.

Gorgon
To acquire this ship cosmetic, players need to defeat the Alpha Ship in the Central Mediterranean Sea.

Bird
Defeat the Alpha Ship in the South Ionian Sea to get this cosmetic.

Chimera
This ship cosmetic is located at the Smugglers Shipwreck.

Ship Figureheads Locations

Like the Hull Cosmetics, players can also find different Figureheads and apply it to their ship. However, these Figureheads need to be found first and here we will list down all of the Figureheads that you can find in the game along with their locations.

Eagle Figurehead
Players will find the Eagle Figurehead in one of the chests at Poseidon’s Fury.

Lion Figurehead
This ship cosmetic is located in the chest at the Alekto Shipwreck.

Octopus Figurehead
This figurehead is located in the Shipwreck located north-west of Cradle of Myths.

Sphinx Figurehead
This cosmetic can be acquired after completing the Sphinx quest.

Pegasus Figurehead
Travel to the Olympic Shipwreck south of Araxo Point and there will be a treasure chest and in that chest, you will find the Pegasus Figurehead.

Snakes Figurehead
This figurehead can be found at the Shipwreck of Nestor which is south of Messenia.

Minotaur Figurehead
This figurehead will be rewarded to you once you have killed the Minotaur.

Medusa Figurehead
Killing Medusa will reward you Medusa figurehead.

Crew Cosmetic Locations

The crew is the most important part of your ship as without a crew you will not be able to fully utilize your ship.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey allows players to change the look of their naval crew and here are the locations of all of the Crew Cosmetics that players will have to find.

Elite Spartans
This cosmetic is located in the chest at the Prototype Trireme of Ameinokles.

Persians
You will find this Crew cosmetic at the Persian remains located in Bay of Xerxes.

Athenians
Players will find this Crew Cosmetic inside a chest located at Phaleron Sunken Harbor.

Spartans
Players will find the Spartans Cosmetic for their crew at Ariabignes Shipwreck.

Barbarians
You will find this cosmetic in a chest located in an underwater cave. The cave is located East of Athens.

Medjays, Female Assassins, Male Assassins
Players will not have to find these Crew Cosmetics in the game as they can be purchased for the Ubisoft Club.

Bandits (Male and Female)
This cosmetic can be found inside a treasure chest located at the Sunken Wreck of Datis.

The Cult of Kosmos
This cosmetic can be acquired from the chest at the Palace of Amphitrite.

Scions
This Crew Cosmetic is located at the Palace of Amphitrite.

Followers of Ares
This can be acquired from the chest in Dorion Underwater Cave. This open both male and female version of these Crew Cosmetic.

Mongers Men
This will be awarded to players as a reward for completing a story mission.

Cultists
Kill the hydra to get this cosmetic.

Daughters of Artemis
Players will get this cosmetic once they complete the Daughters of Artemis Hunt with Leader.

Gladiators
This crew cosmetic can be acquired by finishing the last level of the Arena.

Olympic Athlete (Male, Female)
Win the Olympics to get this crew cosmetic.

Monger Thugs
Kill the cultist, Monger.
