FIFA 19 has launched for PC and current-gen consoles, however, despite being an annual series, there are errors and issues that are bound to pop up for the PC version like the game not launching, crash at launch, stuck at the loading screen and more.
Here we will compile a list of errors and issues that players have been experiencing and will also provide you with a possible fix or workaround.
FIFA 19 Black Screen, Low FPS And Fixes
FIFA 19 is the latest entry in the long-running annual franchise despite EA showing interest in making FIFA into a live service game. The game has been developed using the Frostbite engine which EA used with FIFA 18 and is currently using with its other Sports titles.
The following is the list of errors and issues that players have been experiencing along with their possible fixes and workarounds.
Stuck At Loading Screen
FIFA 19 players are facing the issue where the game is stuck at an infinite loading screen. The following are a couple of things that you can do to fix this issue.
Any unnecessary USB device attached to your system can potentially cause an infinite loading screen issue to happen like wired controllers and more. Just unplug them until the match starts and you can plug the controller back in to play the game.
If this doesn’t work for you then go to C:\Users\xxx\Documents\FIFA 19\settings and delete the “Settings” folder. This will reset all of the video and audio options that you have adjusted but this should get to past the infinite loading screen.
Game Not Launching On Xbox One
Xbox One players have been facing the issue where the game doesn’t launch at all. The fix for this problem is simple. The reason for this issue to pop up is related to the console being on for a long time.
Just turn off your console completely and then start it again. Now you should be able to play the game on Xbox One without any problem.
Screen Rotation Is Now Supported
While trying to login to the web app, PC players are being presented with the error “Screen Rotation Is Now Supported”. The issue is related to the browser’s height and width.
Try changing the size of your browser and try. This should allow you to use the FIFA 19 web app.
Crash At Launch
There are a few of reason for the game to crash at launch which we will list here along with their fixes.
The first reason for the game to crash might be the lack of administrative rights. Right-click on the game’ and select “Run The Game as Administrator”. If this doesn’t work for you then try playing the game from the account that has the administrative rights.
Another reason for the game to crash at launch is the anti-virus or the Windows Defender, which might be detecting the game’s exe file as a trojan virus.
You can either disable the anti-virus or make an exception for the game in the anti-virus. This will allow the game to run on your system.
Also, an outdated GPU driver might also be the reason for the game to crash. Just update your drivers to the latest version or at least install the GameReady driver for FIFA 19 as it will bring game-specific optimizations.
Game Not Launching
Players have reported that FIFA 19 isn’t launching for them at all. The problem might be the external GPU not being used for the game.
Make sure your system is using the external GPU for the game through the Nvidia Control panel or you can make changes in the BIOS menu that will allow only your dedicated GPU to be used.
Black Screen Fix
The black screen is a common issue in PC games, however, the solution is quite simple. Start the game when the black screen appears, just press “ALT + Enter” and the game will go into Windowed mode.
Now go to the video settings and change the resolution to your monitor’s native resolution and you will be able to play the game in fullscreen.
However, if this doesn’t solve the issue then the problem might be your GPU driver. Just update your GPU driver and your issue should be resolved.
Low FPS, Stuttering Fix
With so many PC configurations out there, there are bound to be some performance issues for the game to pop up. Here are a few things that you can do to resolve these performance issues.
First, update your GPU driver to the latest version or at least install the GameReady version at it bring game-specific optimizations.
Secondly, make sure there is no process running in the background using your HDD or CPU too much that causes the game’s performance to drop. Just terminate the program that is using too much of your system’s resources.
Those who own at least GTX 10 series GPUs can try another thing. Open Nvidia Control Panel and select “Manage 3D settings” and then click on the “Program Settings”.
Select FIFA 19 from the list and if the game is not on the list and then add it. Once the game is selected, go through the options and look for V-sync and set it to “Fast”. If you have a GPU or CPU capable enough, then this will potentially provide you a smooth 60 FPS experience.
