Destiny 2 Forsaken Ascendant Challenge Guide – How to Complete, Defeat Valeralus

Okay, brave Guardians, the reset day is upon us! That means another Destiny 2 Forsaken Ascendant Challenge to conquer, Powerful Gear to find, and Dark Fragments to drop. Before starting this week’s Destiny 2 Ascendant Challenge, Guardians be sure you are well equipped – above 500 PL.

The following Destiny 2 Forsaken Ascendant Challenge Guide will focus on how to complete the Forsaken Ascendant Challenge. Good luck, have fun!

Destiny 2 Forsaken Ascendant Challenge

First, pick up Petra’s Ascendant Challenge Bounty that costs 1,500 Glimmer.

Note that you have only 30 minutes to locate and complete Forsaken Ascendant Challenge after you drink the Queen’s Tincture.

Luckily, this week’s Forsaken Ascendant Challenge is easy to find despite the fact that it is a bit further away than the previous Ascendant Challenge.

Ascendant Challenge

As soon as you drink your Tincture, head to the left of where you spawned and follow the first big road you come across. This road should be broken up into sections. If it is not, you are not taking the correct path.

Once you exit the path, you will enter the Spire of Keres; this is where you bring the Offering to the Oracle.

Enter the large tower through the entrance and take the first door to the left to return to the large courtyard outside the large tower.

Move out of this courtyard and onto the path that winds around this area. Déjà vu? Thought so. It is similar to when you first arrived in the Dreaming City.

Move until you reach an area with tons of mountains over a precarious drop. Once there, enter the second mountain.

This mountain has a few trees on it and offers a raised section. Stand on that section and you will see the portal to the Ascendant Challenge. If you do not, use your Queen’s Tincture.

How to Complete

Enter the portal. You will be met with Taken Hobgoblins and Vandals. Oh, and Taken bombs and Orbs too, so be sure to bring a friend along who knows how to hit stuff.

Use the Taken bombs to jump around the platforms, climbing up as you go. You will meet tough enemies the higher you go, so a weapon with good damage at a range will be great. Repeat jumping around until you reach the top.

You will find yourself standing in front of Valeralus. Fight him at a distance because if he gets close, his abilities can drop you off the edge. And that is bad. Really bad! Anyways, defeat him to reveal a chest on a higher platform.

Let us know in the comments what you received (hopefully, not another Edge Transit) and what you were expecting to receive. Hope you had a fun time doing this week’s Destiny 2 Forsaken Ascendant Challenge because I know I did.
