Elder Scrolls 6 Title Might Have Been Leaked: Elder Scrolls Redfall Coming?

Zenimax, Bethesda’s parent company, filed a trademark claim on September 10 that mentions the name “Redfall”, and some fans of the Elder Scrolls series are starting to think that that might be the actual Elder Scrolls 6 title, which can bring in a large number of different conclusions for the actual game.

The Elder Scrolls 6 was announced on E3 2018 at Bethesda’s E3 conference, but the teaser trailer that we got is only a landscape shot and a title shot, and there’s no ideas of where the game will be taking place. However, if the Elder Scrolls 6 title really is “Redfall”, then it’s possible that we know where it is.

Redfall might hint at the fact that the game is set in the province of Hammerfell, the homeland of the Redguards and a land that we have yet to visit in any Elder Scrolls game. While we’ve learned a large amount of history from it, there’s a lot of adventures that we could have in the place, with an interesting new climate and curved swords. Curved. Swords.

This is in contrast to other suggestions that think that the game will be set in the province of High Rock, home of the Bretons, which is filled with castles and knights and is also highly mountainous, in contrast to the huge tracts of desert that Hammerfell has.

However, there’s always the possibility that Redfall will not be Elder Scrolls related at all, but is instead referring to a new IP that might be coming at some point soon. There were a wide variety of new and old games announced at Bethesda’s E3 2018 conference, such as their upcoming science fiction game Starfield.

Redfall might also be something new from one of Zenimax’s other studios, such as Tango Gameworks or Arkane Studios, rather than being the new Elder Scrolls 6 title from Bethesda. Plus, there’s a pattern to go through with Elder Scrolls games. The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim was given its first teaser trailer on December 13 of 2010, when the game itself didn’t come out until November 11, 2011.

While it’s possible that Redfall might indeed be the Elder Scrolls 6 title, we’ll have to wait for confirmation from Bethesda to see if that’s true, especially when we don’t even have any idea of a release date for the game.
