Speaking of Fortnite, video games are often cited as the cause of making people violent especially violent games. However, another report has made its away on the internet suggesting that 5% of all the divorces in the UK are a result of Fortnite addiction among other online games.

This is according to divorce-online.co.uk, who further noted that they started to investigate divorce petitions citing Fortnite and other online games since it saw a rising trend since the start of the year.

We “received 200 divorce petitions since January 1 [2018] where addiction to Fortnite and other online gaming has been cited as one of the reasons for divorce. This equates to roughly 5% of the 4,665 petitions we have handled since the beginning of the year”.

However, this is not the only controversy that Fortnite has been a part of like earlier this year a report made its way online revealing Fortnite addiction led to a 17-year-old attempting suicide.

Now video games can cause such issues if gamers don’t manage their game time with their responsibilities or other chores and there are a lot of people out there that tend play games too much which can lead to such situations.
