A new Devil May Cry 5 trailer just came out and if you are interested in learning all the small details then be sure to check out our trailer break down. Game Director Hideaki Itsuno talked about Devil May Cry 5 and how easily the team was able to get it running on the Xbox One X.
He mentioned that is was indeed the most powerful console on the market and that the team did not have to do much in order to get Devil May Cry 5 running at 4K 60 FPS on the Xbox One X. The following is what he had to say in this regard:
That’s right, it really is the most powerful hardware on the market. Thanks to that, we had no problems getting 60FPS out on this hardware at 4K. It didn’t take much effort on our part at all. This is the lead platform, whenever we show anything, we show it on [Xbox One X], with reason. It’s such good hardware!
Itsuno has been aiming for 60 FPS for Devil May Cry 5 from the start and it seems that will be the case no matter how you plan on playing the game. It will be interesting to see how that will be possible on the base model Xbox and PS4 keeping in mind the graphics and the attention to detail that Devil May Cry 5 has to offer.
Itsuno was asked about why he was giving 60 FPS for the game such a huge priority and the following is what he had to say in this regard:
There’s no doubt that from a graphical perspective, 60 frames looks good. From our perspective, more than that, we have fans saying to us, ‘we want you to make the kind of game where we can respond at the timing of 1/60th of a second.’ And so, we want to be faithful to those people. We want to say OK we’re going to give you guys the kind of experience that you’re hoping for, the kind of experience where it is balanced so that you can respond at that kind of response rate.
Let us know what you think about Devil May Cry 5 and whether or not you are interested in playing the game when it comes out later next year.
