Video Games of October 2018 – Most Anticipated Games for PC, PS4, Xbox One, Switch

Ah, October, the autumnal month of the year is here. And Christmas is right around the corner! And… what comes with Christmas? THAT’S right! Gifts and video games! Everything a man has ever dreamed of! Therefore, to facilitate you, we have decided to list all the Games of October, and most of them are mind-blowing adventures!

Games of October 2018

October is looking like to be a great month for fans of varied genres. From Red Dead Redemption 2 to Forza Horizon 4, Soul Calibur VI, and more; there is something for everyone.

In this article, we have outlined some of our favorite Games of October 2018 that managed to pique our interest with every development progression. Do not forget to share your favorites with us.

Forza Horizon 4

Forza Horizon 4 will be the fourth installment in the popular Forza Horizon series. The season of Horizon Festival is here again, and it is time for street racing that will blow your minds away with stunning graphics, realistic physics, and rage-inducing off-road races.

The one thing that Forza Horizon showcased this E3 and that has captured everything’s attention is the new Dynamic Seasons feature. It is dazzling and we are looking forward to this new feature when this game arrives on Xbox One and PC. Cannot wait to play the game on 60 FPS 4K resolution!

The game arrives on Xbox One and PC on Oct. 2, 2018. Be sure to mark this date on your calendar, the clock’s ticking!

Fist of the North Star: Lost Paradise

Yes, the legendary Hokuto Shinken style user Kenshiro is back yet again with his deadly abilities and one hit K/Os. Lost Paradise is set in the lost city of Eden.

The game will feature an original story set shortly after the first several episodes of the first series. The game will feature a beat-em-up gameplay system where players will face a horde of enemies and must defeat them to clear a path to the next stage.

The game arrives on PS4 on Oct. 2, 2018. Be sure to mark this date on your calendar, or you will be screaming NANI!

Mega Man 11

The series’ most of us have adored as a child is back yet again with another installment and this time, it is amazing. The game features a 2.5D side-scrolling platformer gameplay and according to the trailer, it is done very well.

Mega Man 11 will introduce new robots, enemies, and a brand-new system called the Double Gear system.

According to the manual, Double Gear system will allow Mega Man to slow time at will.

With the new phones coming out to support Slow Motion, I think Mega Man followed the trend. It will be fun to see how this new System combines up with the long-running series. Older abilities like the ability to charge your Mega Buster and change your Mega Man’s main abilities is also present.

The game arrives on PS4, Xbox One, and PC on Oct. 2, 2018. Do not let Dr. Wily destroy the peaceful robotic society!

Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey

Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey follows the suite of Assassin’s Creed: Origins and this time, the series move to the year 431 BCE, during the Peloponnesian War. The game will let the players choose between the two factions: the Athens and the Spartans.

The game will focus mainly on the RPG elements of the game: it will introduce dialogue options, side-quests, and even multiple endings! So much for a game that is supposed to be based upon real history.

The game will use a Skill Tree system like most RPGs out there. The combat system is supposed to get even better in this new game with four different special skills when the ability bar fills up. The game will also make the Gear System better.

The most iconic feature in this game for me is the return of the Naval Combat. I absolutely adored Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, for its amazing Sea Battles and I hope this game can somehow make it even better!

The game arrives on PS4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC on Oct. 5, 2018. Just be sure to pick it up before your History exams.

Super Mario Party

Throw out your gorey games, Y’all! It is that time of the year again! Super Mario Party is coming to the new Nintendo Switch console and it looks breathtaking. (No pun on you, Mr. Breath of the Wild)

Super Mario Party will be sure to keep your inner child up and active with its new system and clever ways to use your Switch console to play the game. Who knows, maybe you will make up with your homie who you ditched last year, to save Hyrule.

This game is fun for all ages, whether you are a growing toddler (who can at least hold a Switch controller), a preschooler, middle-schooler, high schooler or a proper adult (College students are technically adults to me too. YOU CANNOT JUDGE ME!)

The game will feature several different worlds on a Game Board as well as 80 new minigames, with the classic 2 vs 2 or even 1 vs 3. That is right, Y’all. Prepare to make allies you will be wrecking your homie with.

Do not wait for this game, it will be releasing on the Nintendo Switch on Oct. 5, 2018. You will have the fun of a lifetime.

Disgaea 1 Complete

Disgaea series have been around for a long time, and to celebrate their 15th anniversary, Nippon Ichi (which literally translates to Number 1 Japan in my weeb head. Google Translate says its Japanese popsicles and that is weird in my head) has decided to remaster their first game: Disgaea: Hour of Darkness and include the Etna Mode, introduced in Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness.

The game will feature high definition graphics and will be optimized for a well-enough experience on the Playstation 4 and Nintendo Switch consoles.

This remaster is supposed to drop on the PS4 and the Nintendo Switch on Oct. 9, 2018. Be sure to level up to 9999 super-fast so you can dazzle your friends with over 900 quadrillion damage on a poor level 1 enemy.

WWE 2K19

This is it, Y’all! The annual iteration to the WWE series is here. Moreover, after the bad reception of the last WWE installments, not much is expected from this release model.

Even the official WWE 2K19 page does not show much info about the game, any new mechanics or revamps. It is difficult to get hype for a game that does not do much publicity.

Anyways, according to the trailer, the graphics seem to have improved by a bit or two. The gameplay, though, does not really click.

However, if you are a real hardcore fan of the series, you will surely find the great points in this game. Who knows, it might be the best WWE game yet.

WWE 2K19 is supposed to arrive on the PS4, Xbox One, PC, and even Switch on Oct. 9, 2018. Okay, seriously, who would play wrestling on a family friendly console like the Nintendo Switch?!

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4

Here comes the most hyped game of the month! Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. That is right; the game is just around the corner.

Everyone has played Call of Duty or at least everyone. (I got your back, my frozen-in-ice or time-traveling friends!)

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 will focus on the newly introduced genre in the gaming industry, the Battle Royale. The hype of Battle Royale has finally reached the ears of Treyarch.

After playing a round or two of the Closed Beta, my verdict is that this version of Battle Royale is way better than what PUBG or Fortnite has portrayed (Just my opinion!) because of its higher paced combat and amazing controls.

Moreover, a future setting is always a great idea for a Battle Royale. You probably know more about the game than me, so I will just skip everything.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is expected to release on the PS4, Xbox One and PC (Battle.Net) on Oct. 12, 2018.

The World Ends with You: Final Remix

The very popular series The World Ends with You is finally getting a release on the Nintendo Switch and it looks dazzling. The art style is the turn-on point of this game for me and it looks absolutely on point! Combat has been revamped and

It will be interesting to see how the developers handle the Switch’s unique and creative controls to make their game a great experience. Also, it has local multiplayer! (Co-op) YAAAY! My homie will finally come back to me.

The game will introduce a new chapter: A New Day, a sizable new scenario to the game and story.

The game is expected to release on the Nintendo Switch on Oct. 12, 2018. Be sure to keep up with the world before it ends without you (A really, really awkward pun, I know…)

Lego DC Super Villains

Lego games are great! They are funny, creative and playable by people of all ages. Moreover, deaths in Lego games are hilarious.

Lego DC Super Villains is a spin-off of the original Lego Batman series and will focus mainly on the villains’ point of view.

The game will feature the classical two-player cooperative multiplayer mode – someone‘s going to be stuck being the side-kick again.

The game will feature a customizable character and everything from its predecessor Lego Batman, except for the fact that the players will be playing for the supervillains as they battle against Superheroes from another universe! (Goddarnit Barry Allen, not again)

The game is expected to release on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC on Oct. 16, 2018. Be sure to wreck all the cities the super-heroes love and adore.

Starlink: Battle for Atlas

Have you ever played No Man’s Sky? The game can be compared to No Man’s Sky.

It offers a whole star system, the Atlas star system, where the players can move freely move in space or enter the orbit of planets, and ultimately the planets itself.

The game looks beautiful and has colorful graphics and a story to look forward to. It is like a Disney adventure turned into a story. Moreover, I like Disney stories! (My inner kids have its own demands and rules, I must obey!)

Content-wise, the game has a lot to offer and uses a unique “toys-to-life” element: Players can buy toys and use these toys as in-game items for the game, like buying a toy spaceship and remodeling it to your heart’s content.

The digital counterpart of the toy will change as well. Sounds very neat on paper but let us see how it holds up in game.

I have many hopes for this game.

Starlink: Battle for Atlas is expected to drop on the PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch on Oct. 16, 2018. Be sure to play the story before anyone ruins it for you. I will be entering my Batcave just to enjoy this adventure.

Warriors Orochi 4

One of the most hyped games this month is the latest Warriors Orochi 4, which will the fourth installation in the series.

Warriors Orochi 4 will feature characters from the Samurai Warriors and Dynasty Warriors universe.

Up to 170 characters will be playable on Day One and that is a lot. Even the 115 characters in DOTA 2 get me confused and I have been playing the game since 2014.

The game will feature a new ‘Sacred Treasures’ system where players will be able to evoke a miraculous power among the characters and launch magical attacks.

Warriors Orochi 4 uses a Musou action system (Beat-em-up) and it will be fun to see what is new in this latest installment of Warriors Orochi.

Warriors Orochi 4 is expected to arrive on the PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC on Oct. 16, 2018.

Syberia 3

Syberia is a great game series if you have the weekend off. The game offers a big story and has a compelling plot.

Follow Kate Walkers as she travels across the cold lands of Syberia, and immerse yourself as you solve many overwhelming puzzles.

Syberia 3 will be a great adventure on your Nintendo Switch because you will be able to take your Syberia adventures wherever you go.

Syberia 3 arrives on the Nintendo Switch on Oct. 18, 2018. Be sure to pick it up before the weekend.

Dark Souls Remastered

Here we go, my friends. The ultimate rage-inducing RPG series that has killed the innocent hearts of a hundred thousand gamers and crushed almost-forlorn hopes of ever beating the series is back on the friendliest console in the land, Nintendo Switch!

Dark Souls: Remastered will feature revamped graphics and updated textures to allow gamers of the Nintendo Switch to play Dark Souls the way they want.

But seriously, who would want to play Dark Souls on their family-friendly Switch?

The Switch is already such an impotent console physically and I doubt my heart can bear thousands of videos on YouTube where people slam their Switch on the wall. That will be hard for many of us.

Anyways, the game is expected to arrive on the Nintendo Switch on Octo. 19, 2018. Be sure to get a billion cushions for your walls so your Switch does not break!

Soul Calibur VI

Soul Calibur is one of the most popular and intense fighting games of all times, featuring characters from different timelines and worlds, like the Super Smash Bros. series.

SoulCalibur VI introduces a 3D plane for our brave warriors to fight to the death on. The graphics are beautiful and the animation is crazy-well animated.

A new mechanic ‘Reversal Edge’ has been introduced in the game, which is like a parrying in most games (you defend against an oncoming attack and then hit back).

The game does it well by adding a slow-motion effect to induce those goosebumps that have been sleeping inside your bodies for way too long!

The game will also adopt new mechanics from recent fighting games and is supposed to be a must-buy on Day One. I know I will. Geralt and Yoshimitsu are waiting for me.

The game will be available on PS4, Xbox One and PC on Oct. 19, 2018. Cannot wait to go back to the 16th Century with this game.

Just Dance 2019

Just Dance is one of the longest dance rhythm game series and probably the most popular one out there. Just Dance has always received positive reception among its players and players are always looking out for new stuff to play.

Just Dance 2019 will use the classical gameplay mechanics where the players must copy the dancer in the game’s choreography, using either a controller or your Smartphone with the Just Dance Controller App.

What will be interesting in this game is that it will be released on the Nintendo Switch.

Nintendo Switch has unique controls so it is expected that the game will have an experience of a lifetime with this new console.

Just Dance 2019 will feature new songs and a three-month free subscription to the Just Dance Unlimited service.

Just Dance Unlimited service offers its customers access to songs from previous Just Dance games and new songs that are exclusive to the service.

The game is expected to release on the Xbox 360, (It still lives!) Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Wii, Nintendo Wii U, and the Nintendo Switch on Oct. 23, 2018.

Red Dead Redemption 2

Red Dead Redemption 2 is probably the most amazing game on this list, partially because it has a very compelling story, and partially because I have never played it. (I always criticize the games I play)

Red Dead Redemption 2 needs little introduction. It will follow the adventures of Arthur Morgan, an outlaw, in the last era of the Wild Wild West.

The game will feature a third perspective narrative and gameplay and will be an amazing adventure to behold. The game will feature both single player and multiplayer mechanics and both will be very compelling things to experience.

The game will also use the Honor system that was introduced in the original Red Dead Redemption. Basically, the better you are with the NPCs, the better the towns will react to your presence.

The game is expected to arrive on the PS4 and Xbox One on Oct. 26, 2018. Be sure to pick it up when you can! It is a must-have!

My Hero One’s Justice

Oh God, it is finally here. I have always dreamed to be a Hero.

It has always been my dream. Ever since I saw Super Man – erm – All-Might rescuing people with a smile on his face, no matter what kind of pinch he was in, I have dreamt of being a Hero that saves people with a smile on his face.

The game is being developed by Byking and is based on the very popular TV series “My Hero Academia”.

It will focus on both sides of the coin: Both Villains and Heroes. Be sure to watch the most iconic moments, like the All Might vs Nomu battle, in ABSOLUTE HD.

My Hero One’s Justice will also feature a Local/Online Multiplayer Mode where you can create your own Hero or Villain, defeat everyone and rise to the p. It will be an amazing experience.

My Hero One’s Justice is supposed to arrive on the PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC on Oct. 26, 2018. Go beyond, PLUS ULTRA with this game!

Let us know in the comments what game you are waiting for the most! My personal choice is My Hero One’s Justice.
