Rocksteady Studios Next Project To Be Announced In Q1 2019, Is It Superman?

Batman Arkham Knight launched back in 2015 and since then developer Rocksteady Studios has been in hiding as no new project has been announced.

Batman Arkham Knight launched back in 2015 and since then developer Rocksteady Studios has been in hiding as no new project or game from the studio has been announced. However, reportedly the studio’s next project will be announced in early 2019.

The report comes from a journalist with close connections to video game insiders.

According to the report, if Rocksteady Studios manages to meet certain development milestones then we will be seeing the announcement of their next project in E3 2019 or possibly earlier.

Rocksteady Studios has cemented its place as one of the best game developing studios in the game industry with their work on the Batman Arkham series despite the atrocity that PC version of Arkham Knight was at launch.

Also, Rocksteady Studios’ next project has been rumored for quite a while with some suggesting that Rocksteady Studios is working on a Superman title.

However, there is currently no evidence to support the rumor that the studio is actually working on a Superman title.

But, it will be interesting to see how the studio will tackle the Superman game as past Superman games don’t have particularly a good history of being good games.

But, this was also the case with Batman games before Rocksteady Studios came up with Arkham Asylum, which turned the tables.

Speaking of Batman, Doom Eternal was announced at QuakeCon and many were asking why the game isn’t titled Doom 2. Well, according to id Software, the reason behind it is Batman.

According to producer Marty Stratton, the reason behind it the game being Doom Eternal is Doom 2016 as the problem stems from there saying “You hear us say it all the time, we call it Doom 2016, and the internet has called it Doom 2016”.

We go back and forth on whether it was a mistake to call it Doom. I still don’t think it was a mistake, because we really were kind of drawing a new line in the sand.

What are your expectations for the next game from Rocksteady Studios? Let us know in the comments.
