Marvel Gaming Universe: Possible Tony Stark Reference Found in Spiderman PS4

After the success of Marvel Cinematic Universe, we are seeing the beginning of Marvel Gaming Universe through Spiderman PS4. The game already features the Avengers Tower and Doctor Strange’s Sanctum Santorum but we have found something even more interesting.

There is a possible reference to Iron Man Tony Stark in Spiderman PS4. During the opening of the game when the camera pans across Peter Parker’s room, there are a handful of post-it notes around the lamp sitting on a table. One of the notes is a reminder for Peter to respond to a job offer from “T.S”

It is being speculated that T.S stands for Tony Stark which means Peter Parker got a job offer from Stark Industries.  It seems Spiderman PPS4’s Peter Parker is more involved in the mythos of the Marvel universe than he lets on in the game. If the Avengers Tower exists in the game that means the Avengers exists as well, and Iron Man is a huge part of the Avengers.

What’s even more interesting is that “R.R” you see to the right of the lamp. Fans speculate that this could be a reference to Reed Richards aka Mister Fantastic.

Mister Fantastic is the lead of Fantastic Four, it is quite possible that all of the Fantastic Four would be playable in a future video game or at least appear as part of the Marvel Gaming Universe at some point.

Marvel has found huge success in the Marvel Cinematic Universe so it makes business sense to replicate that in video games as well. However, it took more than 10 years to set up the Marvel Cinematic Universe but since games take more time to develop, it would take decades to bring everything together.

Unless more than one studio is involved.

Spiderman PS4 is developed by Insomniac Games but we already know Square Enix is working on an Avengers game. Having multiple game studios working to bring Marvel Gaming Universe to life would mean the biggest collaboration in video game history.
