Tomb Raider Drops As Spiderman PS4 Takes Back UK Chart

The stats for UK charts have been revealed and it does not come as much of a surprise. As expected the recently released Spiderman PS4 is still holding the UK Charts at the top with Shadow Of Tomb Raider at the second position.

Now while Shadow Of Tomb Raider is at a steady second position it has seen a considerable drop in its physical sales compared to all of its predecessors which is shocking.

Since the expectations for this latest Tomb Raider were really high. Still seems like it just might not be able to compete with its predecessors.

Over the Tomb Raider reboot that rolled out back in 2013, Shadow Of Tomb Raider has seen 70% drop in terms of physical sales.

Having said that it is to be added that the sequel has sold a lot more digital copies in comparison to Tomb Raider.

That’s probably because of the fact that in the past five to six years, the popularity of physical sales has declined considerably.

Apart from that for Spiderman PS4 maintaining the top position at UK charts is certainly not a surprise. As soon as it rolled out it became the fastest selling game of the year, under Marvel’s tag.

The UK chart top ten lists have been revealed below.

  • Spiderman PS4
  • Shadow of the Tomb Raider
  • NBA 2K19
  • Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy
  • Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
  • Grand Theft Auto 5
  • F1 2018
  • The Elder Scrolls Online
  • LEGO The Incredibles
  • Super Mario Odyssey

Hackers may have something to do with poor sales as Tomb Raider was cracked within days of its release.

To be honest, Denuvo has been pretty much successful in keeping this game intact, it has to be noted that eventually every game gets cracked. So as bad as it may sound, it is the truth.
