Official PlayStation Magazine Shares Red Dead Redemption 2 Preview

PlayStation Magazine has shared the first preview of Red Dead Redemption 2. The PS4 version is disscussed in detail in the latest issue.

The official PlayStation Magazine has shared some information prior to the release of issue 154th. The information gives us an insight into Red Dead Redemption 2 thanks to a preview they published.

According to the preview, while the game is technically a sequel to Red Dead Redemption, it still feels like a completely new thing. Everything Rockstar learned from Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead Redemption is implemented in the sequel. However, the game won’t feature Grand Theft Auto’s character swap feature.

The new interaction system is discussed as well, the system that is the heart of every interaction you’ll have with NPCs. In every conversation, you can either be aggressive, keep your cool, or balance between the two.

Depending on how you choose to handle an interaction you will always have the option to draw your weapon. Just press R2 to draw your weapon.

Speaking of weapons, the gunplay is much better compared to the first game. Developers have paid special attention to how weapons handle. Realistic recoil and reloads create an authentic gunplay experience. Hand to hand combat is satisfying as each blow has weight behind it which creates a realistic sense of impact.

Unfortunately, nothing else noteworthy came out of the preview. Perhaps once the issue rolls out we will know more about Red Dead Redemption 2.

As for the game itself, Red Dead is releasing on October 26 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and while there are rumors of a PC version, we haven’t heard or seen anything from Rockstar Games.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is the story of Dutch’s gang and the events that led up to the first game. Each gang member is already a popular character thanks to prior events.
