If you’ve been hearing a lot of buzz about the Metroidvania game Hollow Knight, but only own a Playstation 4 or Xbox One, then you’re in luck. A Hollow Knight console port will be coming to both of those consoles later this month, allowing you to go on the adventure too.
Hollow Knight tells the story of a small, nameless bug knight that enters the dead city of Hallownest in order to stop a sinister presence that has taken over the minds of the bugs in the city. The Knight encounters a large cast of colorful characters across the story, earning a number of different powers and abilities as the story further reveals itself.
The game also got a number of different DLC packs for free as its lifetime continued, each one bringing in new areas, new characters, new boss fights, and new challenges that would put players through their paces even if they’ve essentially completed the game.
The game first came out on the PC in February of 2017 and immediately got critical acclaim, getting so many sales that it eventually got a port for the Nintendo Switch this past June. Its sales numbers are likely to keep going up as it releases to the Playstation 4 and the Xbox One.
While the Hollow Knight console port, known as “Voidheart Edition”, will include all of the game’s previously released free DLC (including its Godhome DLC, which released on August 23). However, there will be more DLC incoming, including a paid campaign for Hornet, a major NPC that makes various appearances throughout the game.
The Hollow Knight console port will be coming out on September 25 for the Xbox One and the Playstation 4, but if you have a PC that can run the game, or have a Switch, you can pick up the game now on Steam and the Nintendo Switch.
