Nvidia RTX 2080 will be coming out soon and we have talked about the potential performance of the graphics card a well as the official numbers that Nvidia has provided. According to the latest leaks, there are Nvidia RTX 2080 Max-Q design GPUs coming out for laptops as well. The device IDs that have been spotted are as follows:
- Turing TU102: 1e02, 1e04, 1e07
- Turing TU102GL: 1e30, 1e3c, 1e3d
- Turing TU104: 1e82, 1e87
- Turing TU104M: 1eab
- Turing TU106: 1f07
The Turing TU104M device ID is most likely the Nvidia RTX 2080 Max-Q design keeping in mind that the Nvidia RTX 2080 also has the Turing TU104 core. The mention of the Nvidia RTX 2080 Max-Q design has also been sighted and you can check out the mentions below:
The first Max-Q design graphics cards were pretty impressive and while they did not provide the same level of performance as compared to the desktop graphics cards but they also consume less power and when it comes to performance, it is pretty close to the desktop performance.
While the Nvidia RTX 2080 has been marketed as a graphics card that is able to run games at 4K 60 FPS, it will be interesting to see whether or not the Nvidia RTX 2080 Max-Q design can do the same as well.
The Nvidia RTX 2080 Max-Q design is going to be a powerful graphics card and while the RTX technology is new and we know little about it, I am sure that the performance overall will be better as compared to the previous Max-Q graphics cards that we have seen so far. For more information regarding the matter stay tuned.
Let us know what you think about the Nvidia RTX 2080 Max-Q design and whether or not you would be interested in getting a notebook that is powered by one of these graphics cards.
