In Shadow Of The Tomb Raider You’ll Play As Young Lara Croft

It’s only a few days before Shadow of the Tomb Raider officially launches, giving fans the satisfaction of playing as Lara in her “ultimate form”. However, except from an expert predator, Lara will have another role in the game. That of an innocent young girl. As new screenshots from Shadow of the Tomb Raider indicate, that there will be a segment of the game where you’ll play as young Lara, possibly a memory or a dream.

The screenshots from Shadow of the Tomb Raider have been uploaded to Twitter by user RAMPAGA and their existence was later reported by DSOGaming, as part of a leak. In those, you can see Lara Croft at a young age, doing what she knows best. Climbing and reaching places we wouldn’t normally do. Here are the screenshots:

While it’s true that we are all excited to get to see Lara young, that segment of the game looks familiar. We’ve seen that happen with Uncharted 4, with a scene where Nathan is only a kid and possibly at the same age as Lara in the new leaked screenshots.

Whichever the case, we are excited to see Lara Croft in a way we haven’t already and experience how her legacy started. The developers have already confirmed that in Shadow of the Tomb Raider, we’ll see Lara in her ultimate form, becoming the predator and using the environment to her advantage. Excited yet?

In related news, the Shadow of the Tomb Raider PC system requirements have been announced through the game’s Steam page, as with any other of its caliber. The page didn’t specify at what framerates and resolution these requirements are announced for, but any mid-range PC can run it, no problem.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider has gone gold and will release on September 14th for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
