Shadow of the Tomb Raider PC System Requirements Revealed, Can Your PC Run It?

Two weeks before the game’s official launch, the Shadow of the Tomb Raider PC system requirements are in. The upcoming Tomb Raider title might be needy in terms of hardware in order to run flawlessly, however, it will all pay up since graphically it is a sight for sore eyes.

The Shadow of the Tomb Raider PC system requirements have been announced through the game’s Steam page, as with any other of its caliber. The page didn’t specify at what framerates and resolution these requirements are announced for, but any mid-range PC can run it, no problem.

Here are the Shadow of the Tomb Raider PC system requirements:

    • OS: Windows 7 64 bit
    • Processor: i3-3220 INTEL or AMD Equilevant
    • Memory: 8 GB RAM
    • Graphics: Nvidia GTX 660/GTX 1050 or AMD Radeon HD 7770
    • DirectX: Version 11
    • Storage: 40 GB available space

    • OS: Windows 10 64-bit
    • Processor: Intel Core i7 4770K, 3.40 Ghz or AMD Ryzen 5 1600, 3.20 Ghz
    • Memory: 16 GB RAM
    • Graphics: Nvidia GTX 1060 6GB or AMD Radeon RX 480, 8GB
    • DirectX: Version 12
    • Storage: 40 GB available space

As you can see, a minimum of 8GB RAM is required for the game to be played, which is a small price to pay since an i3 CPU is needed, which is the one thing players are most concerned about when it comes to such big RPG titles. Shadow of the Tomb Raider weights in about 40GB, something that comes as a surprise given the size of its world and the density of events in it.

An interesting detail about the hardware needed for Shadow of the Tomb Raider is that it was shown running on the new Nvidia RTX 2080 Ti and from what we can see the new graphics card is unable to run the game at 60 FPS with RTX on. It will be interesting to see how systems running the new GPUs will be able to run the game in the future.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider has gone gold and will release on September 14th for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
