Blizzard Entertainment made the announcement on an update for Diablo 3 Nintendo Switch version through a developer at the PAX West 2018 event. The Diablo 3 Nintendo Switch version was declared in an announcement video on Nintendo’s Youtube channel showing their collaboration with Blizzard Entertainment earlier in the month. Apart from the confirmation of the Amiibo support on the upcoming port, there has been anything else revealed about it yet.
The Eternal Collection for Diablo 3 on Nintendo Switch was explained in a theatrical video by the Chief Operating Officer at Nintendo, Reggie Fils-Aime and the Cheif Executive Officer of Blizzard Entertainment, Mike Morhaime. The CEO of Blizzard, Mike who is also a co-founder firstly expressed his love for the Nintendo video game company by saying:
Especially in the way they(Nintendo) are connecting people whether in person or online.
And we’re very expected to announce that we are bringing Diablo 3 to Nintendo Switch. We think it’s an amazing platform, which fits perfectly with co-op or solo gameplay.
Nintendo’s COO, Reggie weighed in on this by “absolutely” agreeing with Mike. Reggie added his views on the collaboration by saying:
We love games that showcase Nintendo Switch’s unique capabilities.
Moreover, Reggie seemed pretty excited about all the “stuff” that comes with the Diablo 3 Nintendo Switch version. Which include up to seventy levels as well as other zones. All these features coming to Nintendo seem “pretty much everything” to Reggie Fils-Aime. Mike added on this by saying that every content known of from Diablo 3 will be offered in the upcoming Switch port of the game.
The announcement was continued with some clips of the gameplay of the game and cinematic sequences as well. The gameplay for the Switch version was also shown at Gamescom 2018. The content in Diablo 3 Nintendo Switch surely seems like it is going to be special.
