Nvidia RTX 4K benchmarks were announced by Nvidia a couple of days back and Nvidia claimed that the GTX 2080 will be able to run pretty much any game at 4K 60 FPS and while that might be the case, it seems that the numbers might be overstated. You can check out the official numbers that Nvidia claimed in the image below:
It is worth noting that the third-party test concerns the RTX 2080 Ti while the official numbers are for the RTX 2080. The third-party numbers should be higher in this game keeping in mind the better graphics cards. Even if they are not better then they should at least be the same, but that does not seem to be the case except for Mass Effect: Andromeda.
It is also worth considering that Nvidia is limiting access to launch drivers and the official Nvidia RTX 4K benchmarks might be higher due to proper driver support. This is something that we will have to wait and see in order to confirm but as of right now, it is rather fishy that the numbers here do not match even though the third-party source is using a more powerful graphics card.
It is also interesting to note that Battlefield V is able to run pretty well, but this seems to be with RTX off because we have already talked about how well the RTX graphics cards run the game with RTX off and it is unlikely that these numbers reflect the performance of the card with RTX on. For more news regarding the matter stay tuned.
Keeping all this in mind, I doubt that this is a feature that pro players are going to be interested in as they prefer higher FPS rather than better visuals.
Let us know what you think about the Nvidia RTX 4K benchmarks and whether or not you think they are misleading.
