Switch Update 6.0 Captain Toad Icons, Data Backup, and More

For those who did not know, Switch update 6.0 is on its way and will be joining us pretty soon. Little was known about it but hackers could not resist showing off their skills and found a way to determine this upcoming Firmware.

Interesting thing is that while this Switch update 6.0 has not been made publicly available, these Hackers were able to pluck out some interesting details about it.

However, bear in mind that since this comes from an unofficial source, it can potentially be inaccurate.

With that said, as most of the users may be expecting, Switch update 6.0 will be adding support for Online Services which will include saving data backup. From what we can gather, it seems to be that Nintendo is aiming for “More Games More Features and More Fun.”

Moreover, new player profile icons from Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker will also be added. However, probably the most captivating details these hackers could pluck out were the official icons for NES, SNES, Famicom and Super Famicom controllers.

Considering this, perhaps Nintendo has plans to release some kind of classic controller line that would be compatible with Switch. In fact, there is a huge possibility that they might even roll it out with Nintendo Switch Online.

Still, the fingers are pretty much crossed on this, unless and until we get to see the firmware changelog for ourselves.

Since we have mentioned Nintendo Switch Online, then let us spare a few lines on that as well. Nintendo Switch Online will be launching in September. Now while Nintendo Of America announced that it will launch in the second half of September, no specific date has been given. Although some sources suggest that it will launch on 30th September. Still, it is not confirmed.

Here is something interesting that we can relate to this hacking situation. Apparently, when it comes to Nintendo Switch, hackers have a way of mining things out like the discovery of VR Settings Menu, which also created quite a lot of buzz.

Anyways still, let us see what becomes of it all.
