Summer is winding down and Sony is saying goodbye to it with two great games available as the September PS Plus games. The two games that will be available this month are Destiny 2 and God of War 3: Remastered, good for either a long-term commitment or a day of bloody violence.
Destiny 2 came out last September and October and despite a rocky start has been getting back into the swing of things with a large amount of additional content, to say nothing of the massive Forsaken expansion that will be coming in a few days, which brings a lot of new locations, weapons, enemies, and stories along with it.
God of War 3 on the other hand is the remastered version of the original God of War 3 game that came out in 2010 for the Playstation 3, showing the finale of Kratos’s vengeful rampage against the Olympian gods of Greece as he seeks to overthrow Mount Olympus and kill Zeus. While it doesn’t have as much content as Destiny 2, God of War 3 is good for a polished action game that will keep you occupied for a day.
These new September PS Plus games are a step up from previous PS Plus games that have been available, though the previous few months have still been high-quality, such as last month when Dead By Daylight and Mafia 3 were available for the Playstation 4, while Bound By Flame and Serious Sam 3: Before First Encounter were on the Playstation 3.
While the version of Destiny 2 that’s available in the September PS Plus games doesn’t include the game’s two expansion packs, Curse of Osiris and Warmind, it’s still a pretty solid game that will entertain you until you run out of stuff to do with your friends. And if you do run out of content, you have three expansions’ worth that you can buy.
The two new September PS Plus games will become available on September 4 along with all of the other free games becoming available in September, and Destiny 2 is now free to play since Forsaken is coming out soon.
