Rumor: Kingdom Hearts 3 Could Have Zarg

In a recent turn of events, a new boss character for Kingdom Hearts 3 is being rumored from the Toy Story World. The Evil Emperor Zurg is a famous antagonist in the Toy Story franchise. The news was cracked down after the gameplay footages of Kingdom Hearts 3 were followed up by EconoTimes.

The infamous Toy Story character is to be featured in the Boss Battle for Kingdom Hearts 3. Hints of Emperor Zurg were found in the early looks of Kingdom Hearts 3 when the Toy Box World was unveiled. This reveal was shown at Gamescom 2018 in a gameplay demo for Kingdom Hearts 3. Woody, Buzz Lightyear and other toys of Andy were portrayed in the display.

A complete look of the Toy Story World is expected to be seen in January 2019, however, they first appeared in the D23 event in 2017. Since then, Community Manager at Square Enix, Sunil Godhania strongly emphasized that Square Enix intends to keeping the identities of the bosses of Kingdom Hearts 3 undisclosed until the full game is out.

The demo at Gamescom 2018 accompanied by the teaser released in the prior year by the developers strongly hint toward the Emperor Zurg being one of the bosses of Kingdom Hearts 3. The character in the Toy Box was seen wearing a black cloak. This description fits that of the Evil Emperor Zurg from the Toy Story franchise.

The voyages in Kingdom Hearts 3 will be seen completed by Donald, Goofy, and Sora. These characters will be seen exploring various Disney worlds. The aim of the game will be to save the inhabitants of every world from the Organization XIII of Master Xehanort and the Heartless. King Mickey, Axel, Kairi, and Riku will also be joining the ranks in Kingdom Hearts in efforts to stop the war approaching.

Sora the protagonist of Kingdom Hearts has been declared as being able to use abilities against enemies once they’ve been unlocked. Upon preferring secrecy on revealing the names of the bosses, EconoTimes have come forward and speculated that Zurg is perhaps going to be one of them.

Now that this issue has been brought to light, Square Enix could comment on the whole boss secrecy after not officially announcing anything before. Moreover, Kingdom Hearts is set to make its appearance at the PAX West event, which has also been suggested by the EconoTimes.

Kingdom Hearts 2 will release in early 2019 for PS4 and Xbox One with almost 100 hours of gameplay.
