Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Backward Compatibility With Xbox One Announced

Another Call of Duty classic is getting added to Xbox One Backward Compatibility. As Major Nelson announced today, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Backward Compatibility isn’t now just a fan request and the game is available through Microsoft’s service.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is, as of today, added to the backward compatible with Xbox One library of games, giving another reason for players to go back to the franchise. The news comes from Major Nelson, through his Twitter account.

Many will agree that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is still in a playable state, despite being released back in 2009. Even if it doesn’t prove to be a stable title to turn back to for a long time, it can still please the audience before the release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4.

Apart from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, earlier this month, Major Nelson revealed that Prince of Persia along with Earth Defense Force 2025 and Sine Mora for Xbox 360 can be enjoyed on Xbox One through the backward compatibility function. Microsoft is adding more and more titles to their library and despite popular belief, the service has loyal users and is now a stable feature for the Xbox One.
