When it comes to Anthem, there’s little we know about its narrative and characters that tie the game together, other than from its intense gameplay. A new piece of information we know get to find out though is that Bioware is using FBI technology to face-capture actors and put them into the game as NPCs.
The news comes from LJ Batinas, who has revealed on Twitter that he’ll be playing Haluk in Anthem, with his face captured exactly as it is in real life. He provided an image to prove his point and we can agree, the level of detail on his model is exceptional.

Haluk in Anthem is a human NPC and strider crew member responsible for keeping the Player’s forward base operational. He will be running the base along with Owen and Faye, whose faces we haven’t seen yet in comparison. He will be an important NPC to the narrative of the game as its wiki page suggests and he will “have a long story with the player”.
As for Haluk’s voice, Nick E. Tarabay will be the guy behind the scenes. Haluk is the product of two powerful figures merged into one, with critical significance for Anthem and a story that will be unfolded when the game finally releases in February.
Before appearing in Anthem, LJ Batinas has been seen on Longmire, Lucifer, Hawaii Five-O, Black Jesus and indie films as his Twitter page suggests. As for Tarabay, he can be seen in series like Longmire, Arrow, Spartacus, The Sopranos and more.
Anthem is releasing on February 22, 2019, for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Pre-orders are now live but the game is also featured in EA Origin Premier for PC. Are you excited for it or just waiting to see if it really is as good as it seems?
