SoulCalibur 6 On PC Uses Denuvo, System Requirements Announced

The official minimum and recommended system requirements for SoulCalibur 6 on PC have been revealed through the game’s Steam Page. Unfortunately, the good news comes with a bad one as well. SoulCalibur 6 on PC will use the Denuvo Anti-Tamper technology, a feature that has been highly criticized over the last year.

Looking at the minimum system requirements, you can find out for yourself that SoulCalibur 6 On PC isn’t a light game and is not recommended for low-end PCs. The game uses 6GB of RAM and a minimum of 2GB of VRAM in order to run properly, which is a bad sign for low-end hardware players. Fortunately, the game doesn’t require a powerful processor, given the Intel Core i3 being the minimum for it to run.

Here are the SoulCalibur 6 Official PC System Requirements:

MINIMUM:

    • Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
    • OS: Windows 7, 8.1, 10 (64-bit)
    • Processor: Intel Core i3-4160 @ 3.60GHz or equivalent
    • Memory: 6 GB RAM
    • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050
    • DirectX: Version 11
    • Storage: 20 GB available space
    • Sound Card: DirectX compatible soundcard or onboard chipset

RECOMMENDED:

    • Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
    • OS: Windows 7, 8.1, 10 (64-bit)
    • Processor: Intel Core i5-4690 3.5 GHz or equivalent
    • Memory: 8 GB RAM
    • Graphics: GeForce GTX 1060 or equivalent
    • DirectX: Version 11
    • Storage: 20 GB available space
    • Sound Card: DirectX compatible soundcard or onboard chipset

Moving on to the bad news now, SoulCalibur 6 On PC will use the Denuvo Anti-Tamper technology, a feature that Bandai Namco still supports. Given the history of the feature, we know that it hardly keeps the games it supports away from being pirated for a few hours or days at best. A bunch of publishers have already stopped using Denuvo given the rumored issues it sometimes causes to the performance of their games since it can’t 100% protect it from being pirated.

Can your PC run SoulCalibur 6 On PC? Will you buy it regardless of its use of Denuvo Anti-Tamper or will you choose to play it on a console instead?
