Battlefield V Executive Grilled by Reddit, Worst AMA Ever?

Remeber when EA held a Reddit AMA for Battlefront 2 and shared that “pride and accomplishment” BS? Well, here comes EA with another Reddit AMA that has done more harm than good. Producer for Engagement & Core Gameplay for Battlefield V took to Reddit to answer fan question which is great, but there was only one problem, he really didn’t answer anything.

He answered most of the questions with the typical PR tone rather than actually having pure communication with his fanbase.  It is safe to say that the Reddit AMA didn’t go well.

1: Man, This is a really bad AMA. Literally, the guy is answering nothing noteworthy and just saying “we are dedicated to making this the best Battlefield experience possible”.

2: And dancing around the question of an actual roadmap. Remember everybody, we heard the same bullshit with Battlefront 2, and then that game got abandoned with barely any content.

3: Useless AMA. answering nothing of substance.

4: Lol he’s answered maybe five things and not even the top three questions…

5: To summarize this AMA: We learned nothing new.

6: The most upvoted question has no answer, truly a corporate AMA at its finest.

Battlefield V marketing has been a disaster ever since ex-EA exec asked fans not to buy the game if they do not appreciate this new take on World War II. He went as far as calling people uneducated.

These are people who are uneducated—they don’t understand that this is a plausible scenario and listen: this is a game. And today gaming is gender-divers, like it hasn’t been before. There are a lot of female people who want to play, and male players who want to play as a badass [woman].

And we don’t take any flak. We stand up for the cause, because I think those people who don’t understand it, well, you have two choices: either accept it or don’t buy the game. I’m fine with either or. It’s just not ok.

Thanks to his statement mixed with the odd release window of Battlefield, pre-orders are 85% lower than Black Ops 4. EA DICE execs claimed that they would find themselves on the right side of history, a delusion that many politically correct people share.

Battlefield V release date is October 19 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
