Hitman Season 1 or Hitman 2016 is the return to form for the Hitman franchise. While IO Interactive is working on Hitman 2 but that doesn’t mean they have forgotten about the beautifully crafted locations from Hitman Season 1 because the studio is bringing them back in Hitman 2 as a DLC “Hitman Legacy Pack”.

Not only that, all of the location from Hitman Season 1 will be remastered/enhanced for the Hitman 2 and will be available as part of the “Hitman Legacy Pack” DLC.

Those who already own the Season 1 will be getting the remaster/enhancement for free when Hitman 2 launches this November.

Hitman Season 1 locations will not only get visual enhancements but the developer will also incorporate new gameplay mechnics from Hitman 2 to give players the chance to play those missions again with AI that reacts organically. According to Hakan Abrak, CEO at IO Interactive:

This is our way to say a big thank you and give something back. We have finally revealed our long-term vision to deliver the ‘World of Assassination,’ an ever-expanding continuous universe starting from Paris in Season 1, going all the way through to the end of Hitman 2 and beyond with our future endeavors. To create a universe like this is not only an ambitious task creatively, but also technically. I am in awe and admiration with our incredibly talented team and what they have achieved.
