How to Increase iLvl in WoW: Battle for Azeroth

There are many ways to increase your item level we will discuss most of them here. Firstly, you need to hit Level 120.

During your Journey from Level 110-120, you fight in 3 areas for 3 different factions. These factions can help you a lot if you have a high reputation with them.

They reward Gear which locked behind your reputation with them while going exalted take a lot of items you can buy the gear for lower reputation to help you.

The gear from factions is usually not that combat effective but it can help you reach item level required to enter Normal/Heroic Dungeons.

One of the best ways to get gear is farming World Quests, these World Quest reset daily. There are 3 Emissary Quest which you can do for a certain duration and then the emissary changes. These quests can be a good source of decent gear.

Remember to turn the World Quest at the highest possible level, as the item level of the item scales with your gear’s item level.

After the initial farming, you will need to go to dungeons to farm. There are chances for you to get decent gear out of World Quest. However, eventually, you will be farming dungeons.

Farming Dungeons preferably with a group of friends and guilds can make it faster for you progress. Farming Heroics can get you set for Mythic where the real test begins.

Mythic Dungeons drop iLvl 340+ gear and items have a chance to increase the item level upon drop.

While Mythic’s can be a lot problematic for uncoordinated groups as mobs do a lot of damage and you actually have to follow mechanics. It is better to do it with your friends/guild.

If you are someone who is not in a guild, there will be a lot of leveling up guilds that will take you in. These guilds usually have people doing different things so it will be your best bet for help.

Farming Mythics will get you to raiding level gear when the first raid goes live in a month.
