Nvidia RTX 2080 Reportedly Costs $649, Will It Be Worth The Performance?

August 20th is the date when Nvidia is expected/rumored to reveal the upcoming Nvidia RTX 2080. While there is still time before that happens but, reportedly the upcoming GPU will cost $649.

The report comes fro Videocardz, who allegedly has a “lot of information from a board partner”. According to the board partner, the upcoming Nvidia RTX 2080 will cost $649 and will beat the Nvidia TITAN V in terms of performance.

The rumored Nvidia RTX 2080 will feature 3072 CUDA cores and will be based on Turing architecture and will feature 8 GB of GDDR6 memory.

While the RTX 2080 will feature 8 GB of VRAM like the GTX 1080 but, the GDDR6 memory will provide higher memory bandwidth and performance.

However, that is not the only Nvidia GPU about whom rumors have been making rounds on the internet.

While the board partner has revealed that Nvidia RTX 2080 will beat the $3000 TITAN V but, another report has suggested that the RTX 2080 Ti will be a monster featuring 11 GB of GDDR6 memory.

With the RTX 2080 reportedly beating the TITAN V it will be interesting to see how the Nvidia RTX 2080 Ti will perform in terms of performance.

The report has also revealed Turing architecture based Nvidia Titan GPU with 12 GB of GDDR6 memory along with 384-bit memory bus.

Gaming GPUs are yet to be announced by Nvidia but, the company has revealed its Quadro TX GPUs capable of real-time Ray Tracing. Nvidia has announced Quadro RTX 8000, Quadro RTX 6000 and Quadro RTX 5000 GPUs.

The new architecture is not the only new thing Nvidia has introduced with these Quadro RTX GPUs as these GPUs combine new RT Cores with new Tensor Cores for the AI.

According to Nvidia CEO, Jensen Huang, Nvidia Turing is the most important GPU innovation in over a decade that will change the industry or sure.
