Rage 2 is one of the games that we saw at E3 2018 and it seems that the game might be coming to the Nintendo Switch. While the game is coming to Xbox One, PS4 and PC, Nintendo Switch users don’t need to feel left out as id Software is looking into bringing Rage 2 to Nintendo Switch. Studio director Tim Willits touched on the matter and the following is what he had to say in this regard:
We’re looking at the tech right now, and we’re still evaluating that…We stream everything, and we’re just looking…because everything is open, everything’s available, so there’s no level loads. We are looking at that now, but we don’t know.
Rage 2 seems like a great and we have already got some pretty intensive games on the Nintendo Switch. Panick button has been able to do some pretty cool work. Doom and Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus are both very heavy games but Panic Button has got them working on the Nintendo Switch. If that is possible then I guess Rage 2 could also be released on the device as well.
Nintendo Switch has been selling like nothing that we have seen before and while that has been the case in the past few months the moment is slowing down and in order to maintain that level of momentum, Nintendo might release some new hardware. We might see a Nintendo Switch Mini coming out later this year. The following is what Wall Street analyst Atul Goyal had to say regarding the matter:
Market expectations for Switch, as reflected in stock price, have turned from robust growth to no-growth in a matter of three months. Short-term market is right about Nintendo (for a change) and perhaps it doesn’t grow in hardware sales.
It will be interesting to see what Nintendo is going to do. I am sure it wants to keep the momentum going. We might see a price cut, or maybe some new hardware. We will have to wait and see.
Let us know what you think about Rage 2 coming to the Nintendo Switch and whether or not this is something that you are excited about.
